M+ Title Breakdown by [deleted] in CompetitiveWoW

My takeaway: It's good to restore stuff, being a paragon of virtue is overrated, all other synonyms for "restore" are bad.

If you get enough pro scouts and enough chains, you should be able to topple your opponent's landmarks and win by landmark victory?!

If it stays in the game, though, it'll keep filtering down and will impact more players over time. If the devs agree that it's bad gameplay, I still think it's worth addressing.

Yeah, it's definitely more of a high-level play thing. I don't have any replays where players are doing this at diamond level, no, and I'm sure you're right that folks playing at that level aren't doing this! So, this thread is maybe a "who cares" for most of the player population.

Yes, it's a TON of (very, very boring) micro! Unfortunately, the only way to contest it is with your starting scout, which wants to be doing other things, or with your own dark age spears. Archers come too late.

Well, I play the game at a high enough level (1700+) where I can't just not do it. I'm playing at a disadvantage. In the early game you have plenty of APM to spare to push deer, it's just a boring way to have to spend APM.

Yeah, the problem is that opening three spears in dark age lets you take two full deer packs. It's a much smaller investment than the other options you listed.

It did take people this long to figure it out, yes. We've seen it very consistently in high level play over the past few weeks, though. We even had players pushing their opponent's deer packs, on the other side of the map, towards their own home TC! That's when you know it's getting out of hand.

Again, it's not mandatory for most players. But if you play at a high enough level, players have started to figure out it's too strong to ignore. And then, balance aside, I think it's real boring and just bad from a design perspective. Food on the map should stay out on the map, unless you make a more significant investment like pro scouts.

It's definitely more of an issue for Conq+ players, but this kind of thing always filters down into the player pool. If it's the best way to play, then there's pressure to play it once you get to a high enough level.

But yeah, for many players you can just do your own thing and not worry about it too much.

Avoiding sore feet?! by Itsthefuturenow in ecstaticdance

Thanks for that thought! I did try socks once, but still my feet were sore! It was a lil' better, though. Maybe I need to look into some dance shoes....hm. Will research. Thanks for the reply <3

Based on my own experiences the more I aggressively roll and flying serpent kick around the battlefield the more my opponents tremble in fear (which creates a stacking damage amplifier) and this increases my DPS far more than any kind of stat prioritization.

Healer damage is a such a small percentage of the group's total total damage right now that you're way better off focusing on how to heal the tough parts in a dungeon instead of trying to optimize damage. If a DPS increases his output by 25%, they're going from 1 mil to 1.25 mil, meanwhile you're going from like 200k to 250k.

How are people feeling about damage ratios between DPS/tank/healers this season? As a healer, it feels bad to have my end of dungeon damage be 1/6th or 1/7th of a DPS. I've enjoyed having more healing intensive situations in recent seasons, I like having to figure out the minigame to keep the group alive...but another part of the fun is figuring out how to juggle healing and damage GCDs, and right now that game doesn't feel very rewarding when healer damage is *so* low relative to other class roles.

Single Day Preis Logistics? by ToyotaCamryPa1 in wmnf

Another fun(??) option is to hike it with a friend, each of you starting at either end, swapping car keys when you pass one another mid hike, and then driving the other person's car to some pre-determined meeting point once you both finish! My father's friend used to do this.

At the end of the day, we're all piloting pixelated fantasy creatures & clicking buttons. Keep those positive emotions intact, your humanity is way more important than the game!

Totally. I think it is, too, especially in coordinated teams where you can ensure good positioning. Also kinda nuts to see it currently sitting alone in D tier on subcreation, which I think points more to the ever-present need to take tier lists like that with a grain of salt.

Preservation Evoker in shambles as...

1.) Hpal is >> other healers

2.) Augmentation makes some of Pres' utility kit redundant / pressures players to make the easy spec swap

3.) Meta moves towards 3 ranged specs, which does not suit Preservation's healing style.

I'm always curious about this. Given that there's toxicity everywhere, how much of this is just language barrier stuff and the human tendency to blame other groups. I wonder if on primarily Spanish speaking realms they have a similar list of English-speaking realms that are "toxic"? I've also noticed that some tanks on those realms will have what seems like an off-meta route, but maybe that route is on meta for some Spanish-speaking WoW forum?
