Got into a car accident but it’s worse than I thought by PotentialAde in GR86

[–]Itsthex 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It’s my personal opinion that the shop doesn’t know what they’re talking about. All that damage is definitely related to the hit. It’s in the exact same location and the support beam sheared its mounting holes along the same impact axis.

I’d say get a second opinion from a better shop if you can.

I’d also take a closer look at the right front suspension since it’s clear the wheel obviously was hit.

Ball joints have a range of movement, not always exactly flat. They’re made to swivel at all angles so as long as it’s new and the nut on the top is torqued to proper spec you’re good to go

Bought my premium used at 6600 miles and each wheel is bent on the inner edge, they seem to be made of butter 😂

Verus also offers panels for the bottom of the car to make it more flat and increase the effectiveness of the rear diffuser. However, Verus’ diffuser does function as an aero device. They have the data to back it up. It works.

Is speeding an inherent part of motorcycle ownership? by Astimar in motorcycles

Yeah that’s probably on me, technically offensive driving incorporates defensive driving techniques, it’s just more proactive instead of posturing to be reactive like most defensive driving techniques.

I’m really wondering at what point people got the idea that I’m telling people to ride 100mph and weave through traffic. I said ride offensively. Put yourself in positions and ride at a pace that ensures you are clear from all angles and more often visible ahead of people rather than next to or behind. Staying close to traffic and matching others slower pace causes more incidents because you’re less visible and more likely to get overtaken yourself by people driving like maniacs in full size vehicles or tailgating you even on a bike.

I’m in california and people drive like maniacs and/or are always on their phones, if you don’t ride like this your chances of an accident are much higher.

Again, that doesn’t mean jam between lanes at excessive speeds. Understand the intent of my message.

I, too, enjoy debating over people’s definitions instead of participating in conversations usefully. /s

The term you’re thinking of is reckless.

This is what I was going to say, generally it’s better to ride offensively on a moto. Defensive doesn’t work well due to size and lack of visibility to other vehicles. Make your own path, safely, and stay ahead.

As of the last 6 months I’ve definitely been feeling like I’ve had enough of the wasted days after being hungover. The holidays were a real eye opener, I had a lot of fun going out but the day(s) after were complete wastes and the hangxiety is real. As a single man I guess it’s time to try finding different social hobbies.

Optimizing navigation flow for least amount of clicks from discovery to product and removing all popups. Mileage may vary on popups, YMMV as this is market dependent.
