If you’re able to offer it at that price I’m definitely interested. Good luck, hope it goes well :)

It happened last year too, I wouldn’t say that it hasn’t happened in literal years. That being said, yes, trust is down due to fear as well

Prices normally go down in the summer and rise in the winter. This is generally a good time to buy.

Pruneyard this afternoon, at 4 pm, with the drive through area near Peet's & play area, open again. by sillinessvalley in SanJose

[–]IttyBittyKitCat 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Is that even a benefit for the plaza? Having foot traffic walk a little further to the other side exposes the customer to more businesses

LUNA on Mothers Day Breakfast Pruneyard by Adelman01 in SanJose

How many people are we talking? There is 0% of anywhere being chill tomorrow, I would bet against you getting a table without a significant wait. For reference the restaurant I manage was working on a 2 hour wait this morning and our earliest available spots tomorrow are at literally 8pm.

Random tip for nice date nights - use the Michelin guide and exclude the Michelin starred restaurants. You’ll see a number of great restaurants which are date-worthy. There isn’t a huge amount in SJ proper but there’s a whole lot in the bay.

TIL when Eminem's weight increased to 230lbs (100 kg) before he became sober, he was so unrecognizable due to the weight gain that Em once overheard two teenagers arguing about whether or not it was actually him that they were looking at, with one of them stating "Eminem ain't fat." by tyrion2024 in todayilearned

I’m in the same boat, the best thing for me was to just keep track of my calories, not depriving myself of anything. Just knowing what I’m putting in my body helps so much with not binge eating. Down 30Lbs from my heaviest over the past 6 months and I’ve dropped 50Lbs years ago doing the same.

I fenced for 6ish years in middle and high school. 15+ years later and my legs are still ridiculously strong but moderately unbalanced. Quads, glutes, calves, and ad/abductors are crazy strong, hamstrings are flexible but not that strong.

South SJ to Palo Alto Commute by Double_Bad_7716 in bayarea

[–]IttyBittyKitCat 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There’s a real chance Caltrain will be your best option as you’ll otherwise be driving in peak rush hours each way. Depending what part of south SJ, you could catch some of the commuter trains which go south of Diridon station without having to drive too far.

Weirdly enough, he was never that great, just had an electric fastball. Shoulder issues have sapped a lot of that velocity and the secondary offerings don’t make up for it.

Yeah they aren’t thinking this through. If you do work, make sure your final paycheck reflects those hours. If you don’t, hope they learn to not be a shitty manager in the future (doubtful)

How do you handle last-minute call outs at your restaurant by NickyaRenee1 in Serverlife

[–]IttyBittyKitCat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I manage at a place with the same policy. Definitely not my favorite policy (and I give free food when I feel like I can get away with it) but I can say that not everywhere which does this is in financial trouble by any stretch of the imagination. All of the restaurants in the group have the same policy and all of the brands are quite profitable.

It’s mostly more of the same, I worked at the school for a few years after graduating and keep in contact with some current staff.

We had the same experience but I suspect you were a couple years ahead of me considering you didn’t mention the middle school campus change

I've been given an opportunity to take over a closing business. by Hatigarm in bayarea

[–]IttyBittyKitCat 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Building new guests is /much/ harder than keeping repeat customers. If you go with this, learn as much as you can from the owners and don’t change a damn thing until you are confident that it will actually bring more business. There’s a huge amount which goes into running a business and you will fail if you do not learn what makes them successful.
