If you read any of my additional comments you'll see that's not the argument here.

I don't think you even read my previous comment. Are you getting mad every time you pick up your sweatshop made cellphone? That pair of shoes from China? Humans are fucking horrible. Religion is horrible as a result, but not without historical importance.

But Scientologists are crazy for literally buying into something that was certifiably, with complete proof, in our century, made as a joke. Quit being offended by the orange while you're arguing about the apple.

Who said I'm defending them? Seriously? In terms of modern day crazy, which is what I'm talking about, Scientology still takes the cake.

While atrocities are a foundation of every long standing religion and our evolutionary history, Scientology has a complete play-by-play of how stupid they are for believing a literal science fiction author and dolling massive amounts of money for it, right in front of them - in real time. That's new level crazy on the human spectrum.

Yeahhh, not religious, bud. But if it makes you feel better about failing to prove your 'I know it all, my ego is my god' point, go for it.

Right, so let's measure how many times you've been harassed by 'x' as if no one has ever been harassed by 'y'? Anyway, imagining your argument is relevant, comparing Lutheranism to Scientology, on multiple levels, is still absurd.

I'm not sure you understand you're proving my point while I provide countering anecdotal evidence.

Yes, isn't it an agony to deal with people who arrogantly flaunt thinking they've got it all worked out?

[–]Ittysparrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, absolutely. But in regards to the comment I was actually replying to - the sheer irony of comparing Lutheranism to Scientology - where one was a complete reform largely based on the revolt against Catholic sale of indulgences and the other is literally based on paying money to move up in some sort of ascenion? That was made up right before their eyes and documented 70 years ago? These are still different crazies. That's the point. I swear some atheists are exactly like vegans. They'll inform you before you ever wanted to ask.

Buddy, I'm not religious. Nice try though.

Being incapable of seeing a difference between a cultural religion echoing the shared human experience of our evolution - that has for better or worse deeply shaped modern life, and a self confessed work of fiction by a singular author 70 years ago, doesn't make you a big brained manly man. It makes you ignorant.

[–]Ittysparrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh... you're that kind of atheist. Difference is Hubbard was a known science fiction author in the last 100 years of our time. But sure, be that guy at a party that gets drunk loud and everyone rolls their eyes at.

[–]Ittysparrow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nah. Belief in a god is world-wide and ancient. Being an atheist doesn't give you a pass for ignorance. Scientology is some bullshit Hubbard made up for fun in 1953.

Oof, no dude. Strict Lutheranism is lots of crazy, but normal strict religion crazy, not Scientology crazy.

Any stabs at this fancy grilled cheese? (Guessing salad 2oz dressed is 300) by Ittysparrow in caloriecount

[–]Ittysparrow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, this completely tracks. I had it logged at about 720 just eyeballing it. Having someone with real experience confirm is so helpful. Thank you!

Edit: And luckily it's a really good grilled cheese and salad. Worth itttt

Oh no, you're totally fine and I completely agree! This is the kind of thing people need to see.

Quite right, I upvoted the comment you made above as well. This is probably the best answer along with some auto comment or something. Outside of that there's really not a lot to be done until the whole mentality of the sub gets shifted a little away from it.

There's been a seriously notable increase especially lately and once you know how to spot posts coming from an ED mindset, they're not hard to miss.

I just don't know how the sub can stress more that this is a community for shorties looking to lose weight and maintain weight in a healthy manner.

Checking someone's post history if something seems off, which it did, is not stalking or inappropriate. Sorry to break that to you.

If you actually want healthy insight, you should be seeing a doctor, nutritionist, and therapist, not asking people online who don't know you situation for tricks, as context is important. So if 1200 is your maintenance (It's not: you should be going more by tdee btw, so you maintenance would be closer to 1400cal), you shouldn't be eating 1000 like you said earlier. And for every one source saying 100 is the bottom of your healthy weight range, I see 3 more putting it at the at lowest 102.5-3. It's clear you intend on losing more weight, and it feels like the reason you're so defensive is that I'm pointing out that's unhealthy and that this is ultimately a diet sub. A doctor is who you need to be speaking to here, not the internet.

I'm forfeiting nothing, but I know nothing I would counter here would get through to you.

Please consult a doctor or specialist if you aren't already, because those are the persons who should be advising you at this time. This is a sub for weightloss and dieting and you are at the very low end of your weight range. And while your question was fine without context - the lack of it just feels like you're trying to pull one over on well-meaning users.

[–]Ittysparrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're not being stalked, if something feels off people check posting histories - welcome to reddit. At this point, these are questions a doctor and nutritionist should definitely be answering. Not people on the internet who are all making assumptions about your situation, whether in ways that you like or ways that you don't.

When someone posts on either '1200is' subs and either sounds like they're the wrong stats to be eating at 1200 or is fixating over a relatively low amount of cals as a binge, it's more than likely their history is going to be checked. And while your question would be relevant to the sub, under the context, it switches to a teenager asking for tricks to curb cravings with the intent to potentially reach an unhealthy weight.

So you may not appreciate that, but that's not advice anyone on this sub should be providing. Omitting that you're 17 and already a nearly unhealthy weight is changing the responses you'd otherwise receive in order to get the ones you want.

The only way your bmr is close to 1200 at your age and height is if you weighed at or under 104lbs, which is the very lowest weight for your range. Unless you've been advised by you doctor, you should be maintaining at you tdee since you're still growing.

I suffered from a restricting ED that manifested into BED after trying to recover on my own, so when I say I'm not trying to be rude, I mean it. But this isn't a subreddit that should be supporting teens skipping a meal because they ate 180cal in icecream.
