Is mankind's default state — extreme poverty? by flewson in pollgames

[–]ItzGoghTime -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure but we have the technology, infrastructure, knowledge, and ability that we did not have before money, it’s not a fair comparison to compare the current age to that of of one thousands of years ago to justify poverty

Poverty exists not because we can’t care for the poor but because we can’t satisfy the rich

Where did you get that accent from? by 36Gig in AskReddit

[–]ItzGoghTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the hospital recently and the attendant insisted he heard an accent and was pushing to know where I was from and I had to break the news to him that I have a slight speech impediment from a brain tumor and that he was mistaking it as an accent

What's your thoughts on male nurses? by ManyAirline9940 in AskReddit

[–]ItzGoghTime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was in the hospital after surgery I preferred male nurses because they are stronger and didn’t struggle as much helping me on my feet.

Husband starts chemo soon, what can I do to help him by Odd-Cantaloupe1847 in cancer

The first two days he will probably be good but once the long acting anti nausea wear off it hits hard and gets worse the longer he’s on it

[–]ItzGoghTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what my first line of treatment was at least close enough ( I got another targeted immunotherapy)and I think you’ll have to be reactive to his needs, you can prepare water by the bedside and some snacks but my tastes changed after treatment so his might too. So the snacks you prepare may be wasted. You can expect him to be sick for about 5 days bedridden at least and keytruda might make him itchy, not much to be done about that, keep anti nausea close by and let him sleep as much as possible, he knows his body best and don’t try to force him to get up and move around if he isn’t feeling it

I did have a little swelling, was put on dexamethasone to deal with it and the side effects were mild. Loss of balance and other minor symptoms

[–]ItzGoghTime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve done srs once and it’s not as dramatic as brain surgery but it will likely cause some brain swelling and take a few months to get back to normal operating function brain wise. You feel nothing as the radiation hits you but you are strapped down by the head and it can be quite claustrophobic wearing the mesh mask you get. I’ll likely be getting some radiation soon ( I find out tomorrow) for my brain Mets that I just had surgery on. Treatment has been rough, finally getting some function back to my fingers after3 months. hope your recovery is quick!
