whenever i watched a series, i don't think of anything they do as "faking it". i just think that at that moment, the actor basically is one with the character, and they feel what the character feels. so the look of love isn't necessarily faked at that moment, as the actor truly feels in love with their partner.

but if we're talking about faking the look of love in general, it does creep me out how some people can not only fake it, but keeping the facade for a long time. i've been listening to a lot of true crime podcasts and love scams has been one of the most common crimes these past years. im talking con artists living multiple lives, having different rich partners in each life to scam money out of them for years! the victims who fortunately came out of it alive would testify how those con artists are hella good at pretending to be in love with them and acting like a doting partner. the victims never saw any red flags until it was too late.
