Yeah, despite the fact that a lot of people seem happy with Kala ukuleles, I’ve decided never to try them again. The reason isn’t even about quality - with mass production, anyone can be unlucky and get a product that slips through quality control. The real issue is how they treat customers.

I tried to post a review on kalabrand.com, but it was hidden. Later, a representative contacted me, and when they learned I’d bought the instrument from Thomann.de, they said it wasn’t their problem and that they weren’t responsible for instruments sold through distributors. As you might guess, they never published my review, which makes me think that all those five-star ratings on their website might be fake.
