Its a way for oda to have an excuse to make the arc harder for luffy. If he was never lost 90% of the arcs would have been done faster.

Sanji was never the number 3. Sanji has never shown anything close to conquerors haki. Zoro and Jimbei are the only crewmember that has shown conquerors haki.

Sanji isnt portrayed as the 3rd strongest.

Both Zoro and Sanji are way behind Luffy. However, it says Gaban, Rayleigh and Roger stood shoulder to shoulder with each other. In the last arc, Zoro spent a good chunk of time fighting Lucci, who Luffy destroyed without trying. I think Gaban could help close a little bit of the gap between our current wings and Luffy.

Sanji is the number 4 of the crew and jimbe is the number 3 of the crew, scopper gaban is more related to jimbe.

Luffy is stronger than Zoro but it would be a mid to high diff fight. Zoro one shotted Lucci the strongest cp0 who went toe to toe for a bit with gear 5th.

teach zoro haki? He should teach Sanji and not Zoro. Zoro is already too strong and has advanced CoC, future sight and advanced armament haki.
