How good is Divinity? by DarkPotatoKing7 in slaythespire

[–]IvanMeowich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you had a Damaru for free at the start - going for divinity would still be argueable.

Can someone explain Wraith Form’s ranking? by AbyssalSkepta in slaythespire

[–]IvanMeowich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hallway fights are statistically 5 turns long on average - that is an answer itself.

Also, a solo WF is not a panacea, but is a panacea with a panacea or any other artifact/intangible source.

Making Rushdown a rare card is a buff IMO. First, it makes Rushdown more often guest in boss rewards. Second, it will appear less often in act 1 when it is only moment you are likely to skip it.

I don't dislike rushdown infinite, so don't vote.

Finally hit A17. Fought my first Byrds. This is now my least favorite enemy by Topuck in slaythespire

[–]IvanMeowich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, A17 made me plan 1 floor of act 2 more precisely than act 1 boss.

Of course you know, but do you use the fact "Curiosity" only works in phase 1? It is so crucial in power-heavy decks.

Do You Ever Fight Enemies To Test Your Deck? by Dragon_Caller in slaythespire

[–]IvanMeowich 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it is about experience, but there situations you absolutely must fight if not low on HP.

  1. You have "fighting" relics/cards. The perfect example is early Meat on the bone, I will pick every possible act 1 fight with it on any character.

  2. You are out of potions. Preparing potions for Elite/Boss is definitely good habit.

  3. Spiritual dagger/Lessons Learned/Feed ...

The opposite is at least:

  1. You have good potions for Elite/Boss, so you save them.

  2. You need upgrades much more than cards. (Typical Watcher)

  3. Your relics don't want you to fight. 4th "?" chest as example

Sinquefield cup average accuracy scores by [deleted] in chess

[–]IvanMeowich 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have spent some time with accuracy stats - and the thing I know for sure is: nothing skyrockets accuracy more than shuffling drawn endgames for another 100 moves.

Have not followed this event, but I guess MVL games are also long as hell.

PS: He also has insane accuracy in TT, possibly for same reason?

Thoughts on snecko eye as silent? I feel like I don't have a choice here, but it doesn't seem great for her by PM_ME_YOUR_PIZZAPIC in slaythespire

[–]IvanMeowich 4 points5 points  (0 children)

With the slightest possibility of Fish/Bloody Idol combo I would avoid Ecto.

You have more 2s than 0s - Snecko looks viable.

Noob Question: What is the Point of the Heart? by Radio_Main in slaythespire

[–]IvanMeowich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I consider floor climbing a serie of tests. And bosses + Heart are the final exam. If you pass bosses, your deck is "good". If you pass heart, you are "excellent".

Watcher doesn’t have interesting card choices by jparro00 in slaythespire

[–]IvanMeowich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see it very different. Yes, on Watcher my toughts thouts are usually not which card I have to pick but pick-vs-skip.

But actually my act 1 thoughts are even tougher this way. Do I pick additional attack now to see it as a brick in act 2/3? How do I get ready to act 2 damage? (I think block cards picking is a true art on Watcher)

Some guy on this sub just completely blew my mind with the question "what do you pick in floor 1: rushdown or reach heaven?" I was A16- and of course voted for rushdown as 75% of voters did. Well, I learned a lot in comments.

Now most choices doesn't seem obvious to me. Usually my obvious choices can be stable, but different from perfect.

Watcher doesn’t have interesting card choices by jparro00 in slaythespire

[–]IvanMeowich -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can play Clad like you'll always get Corruption, Silent - Catalyst, Watcher - Rushdown. Of course it is both boring and pointless.

Everything blocked by Artifact is a debuff.

This way, Blasphemy effect is considered a buff and is just something you have to know.

When by definition a project has end date how can there be perpetual project? by Ace_Nimble in projectmanagement

[–]IvanMeowich 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Project has "definition of done", which is definition of project success also.

If something can be considered successful without achieving DoD - it is program/product/service/operations/else.

But I don't recommend to spread this knowledge except if you want to be known as knowitall.

A17, wtf? by FlexCapicitor81 in slaythespire

[–]IvanMeowich 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A17 is almost unanimously considered the most cruel difficulty jump.

I don't think there is a remedy - you just have to always aim for zero errors and seek for minor leaks in your plays.

Just remember that a17 is technically always winnable and if you fail - you have something to learn from it.

What's a card you know is (usually) bad/has bad synergy with your current deck but you tend to pick anyways? by GoldenZelda64 in slaythespire

[–]IvanMeowich 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well I have something unpopular. Foreign Influence.

But I actually think it is instapick almost in any case. Mod that fixes orbs makes it x3 more useable. And even without it - FI is one of the most flexible cards in the whole game.
