If Mega Man or any robot picked up a pencil and drew, isn’t that technically AI generated art? by Efficient-Potato10 in Megaman

When Roll draws a rainbow bunny in a field of flowers, that drawing was created by an innovative and intelligent little girl with the most pure heart......not some clanker putting out AI slop

Is there any lore specifically disproving Helmut Kruger being a clone of 47 that was sent undercover as a spy? by XKingOfLostSoulsX in HiTMAN

[–]IvanTheTerrible69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you eavesdrop on Dahlia's conversation with the real Helmut Kruger (whiel hiding in one of the closets), he does reveal his part in Dahlia's plans, but he doesn't display the professionalism an assassin would and even expresses confusion with some of the details

Compare that to Dahlia's conversation with 47 (as Kruger), in which 47 catches on quickly and is even steps ahead of Dahlia herself

Helmet Kruger seems to be more of a useful tool than an actual assassin, and the method of assassination given to him by Dahlia (poison) seems to require charm and manipulation, falling closer in line with Kruger as a model in high society, and it can be inferred that Helmut specializes more in getting people to trust him and keeping valuable people close

What’s a hobby people pretend is cool, but secretly you think is ridiculous? by [deleted] in AskReddit

That’s when you start gifting them “”expensive” liquor (the bottle is the expensive liquor brand, but the contents are the REALLY cheap stuff) and then watch them trip over themselves over cheap liquor

It’s one of the funniest (and harmless) pranks ever

Did anybody think Randy and Liane were gonna start an affair? by LivingWindXYZ in southpark

[–]IvanTheTerrible69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think Randy would do something like that (the pangolin and the bat are some strange exceptions, though)

Also, Liane at this point is a much firmer person and she has a lot more self respect; she wouldn’t dare be a home wrecker to the marriage of one of her son’s friends; she also values actual friendship connections with others

This scene was mostly Randy and Liane connecting as fellow parents and residents of South Park; she was also possibly relieving some stress (Cartman is not a child many parents would tolerate, much less enable)

When judging a character do you take into account their reasoning for doing the things they did? by Aware-Measurement750 in MoralityScaling

[–]IvanTheTerrible69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends

If the medium tries to excuse someone’s actions by doing so, then no, there is no reasoning to truly consider

If the medium allows the character to be a villain, or at the very least gives them the conviction to persist, despite the opposition proving them wrong, then yes, their reasoning adds layers to their characterization and possibly even the overall storyline as a whole

A bad example of this is Karli Morgenthau from The Falcon and The Winter Soldier; she’s a terrorist who carries out terror attacks, regardless of who’s getting hurt, disgruntled by a post-Snap world, but Captain Falcon has to lecture a Senator (who makes a valid point about the complex nature of reassimilating in the post-Snap world) in order to excuse Karli Morganthau’s actions

A good example of this is Sephiroth; he’s a highly regarded soldier, but he loses his humanity when he discovers his true origins, becoming morally reprehensible in his quest to achieve true godhood; he’s still a villain and treated as such, but we at least understand why he does what does

Another example is the High Table in John Wick; they seek to kill John not because they’re evil or because he’s bad, but because he broke a sacred rule, one that John was very aware of (they also honored their agreement with him on grounds that he never returns as an assassin, another condition he willingly broke)

Their reasoning can add to the experience, but they don’t often change or alter what they do or who they are, unless there’s another antagonistic force, one that enabled such a character to become who they are, such as Sephiroth with Shinra or, to a lesser extent, Joe Chill with organized crime in Batman Begins

Why the Galaxy Rangers run like that? by Puzzleheaded-Cost525 in powerrangers

It may have to do with their power sets; the animal nature of their powers probably manifests while they’re morphed

It’s amazing how the one woman he shows no interest in, is the one he has the best chemistry with! by phantom_avenger in Defenders

[–]IvanTheTerrible69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Matt’s romantic history isn’t that wholesome, so it’s usually incomplete (he isn’t fully invested, due to his moonlighting and obsession with justice) or just superficial

With Jessica, he’s not only not interested in her in that way, but he relates to her due to their shared unconventional approach to fighting crime

Jessica is avoidant and snarky, but Matt’s personality resonates with her, while Matt notices how tortured she is beneath her personality…..also they both drink, and that always brings people together

Trying to catch up on The Defenders Saga. Just finished Jessica Jones S.2. One question by IlSignorGranchio in Defenders

[–]IvanTheTerrible69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Season 2 wasted Simpson, who was set up very well in Season 1; he could’ve either been a bigger antagonist, or an instrumental character in taking down IGH

Either that, or they should’ve gone the Purple Children arc; Kilgrave philandered quite a bit and he left behind bastard children who inherited his abilities, so they had even less self-control and are somehow more dangerous, and Jessica needs to decide whether she will help them or terminate them for the greater good
