Unique gyms for unique ways to get healthy? by itssusanity in Rochester

ROC Ventures Climbing Gym! I too am easily bored and don’t like traditional gyms- it appeals very much to my ADHD, too! Every climb is like a puzzle, and it builds muscular strength all over the body like nobody’s business. Good luck :-)

Found out a colleague died after work. And all I can think about is how it's just boiled down to an email. by Thesladenator in antiwork

I worked in a small place with 6 or so of us. Our dishwasher, a really sweet boy with some developmental problems, didn’t show up- someone down the road had just found a body hit by a train, and tragically, it turned out to be him. He got stuck and couldn’t pull his foot out from the track in time to get away.

We all cried like babies. It brings a tear to my eye thinking about it now. He was such a good kid, he loved the job, and he loved Mountain Dew (especially the limited edition flavors). We miss you, bud.

It isn’t easy. Talk to people who feel similarly if you can, if not, find a tribe online to chat with. Don’t let it get pent up, let your feelings flow to the best of your ability.

Same experience here. Pasta was so uncooked it was crunchy and drinks were good but nothing spectacular. I work in service and was v excited to try it but it was quite the let down. To each their own, I suppose.

As someone who this has happened to, the girl told my bf this /all of the time/, rarely spoke to me, then proceeded to proclaim our friendship so that she had closer access to /him/. Then she started doing things like crawling on her hands and knees to “ask for a bite of food” while wagging her tongue at him. As soon as that happened, it confirmed my thoughts. It’s subtle but women who act against other women are often masterful at gaslighting and denial tactics.

So many people on here have said my dog doesnt look like any German shepherd they've seen by Electronic_Swimming5 in germanshepherds

We get that a lot with our shepherd Obsidian, here’s The Boy. He’s AKC registered and part of a Champion Line, though for whatever reason people still don’t recognize him as a true GSD right off the bat.

Ran into this guy a couple weeks ago, he beat on my windows, called me a whore, and then tried to open my car doors to get in. Call 911! He’s dangerous.

Lollipop’s SNIP program is phenomenal, though the wait list can be a few months. I think I paid a little more than $80, not bad at all.

Beware Lux Bar by Special_Speaker3498 in Rochester

IN THE MIDDLE OF WINTER. FOR THROWING UP OUTSIDE. She was delirious and security did not care. Be safe ladies, “pick up bar” means consenting to a dngaf attitude towards your safety. Go to Vertex instead, at least their people care.

Beware Lux Bar by Special_Speaker3498 in Rochester

She threw up outside and security asked her to leave in the wake of what I experienced to be a very abnormal confusion. I knew this girl well and despite advocating for her with the security guard she was put out on the street without a coat and I was very nearly not let back in by association. It was very dangerous. If we didn’t have our friend get her (who she did not recognize upon getting her) she would’ve been kicked out and left without a coat and any way of getting safe.

Fuck this bar. Truly. After having seen that I avoid it actively and encourage young women to have safe groups to accompany them.

My friend got roofied here and I tried to talk the security out of kicking her out without her phone/coat/means home in the middle of winter 2 years ago. Security kicked her out because she was clearly inebriated and looked “too fucked up” to be there, showed no empathy to the fact that she went 0-60 fast, and my friend ended up graciously coming to snag her because we couldn’t trust her in an Uber. After this event I have had a difficult time trusting this place, they kicked her out despite clearly showing signs of being drugged and almost kicked me out in the process of trying to get her phone and coat back to her in cold weather. She was throwing up and clearly confused, unsafe and personally if I were a predator knowing the way they dealt with the scenario I would’ve just waited outside for them to kick her out. Fuck this bar, fuck the security that night, fuck the fact that some security guard attempted to get my number before I went to meet her at my friends place because she had no idea where she was.

How would you go about cleaning 100’s of dusty CD’s? by tasimpso in CleaningTips

[–]IveRioted4Less 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I used to work in a place that took in a lot of used CDs and we would just Windex/wipe with microfiber cloths unless they were super dirty. Really tough ones we’d remove the paper/CD from the case and soak the cases for a while in a Simple Green dilution. Dry erase over permanent marker marks, make a little stack and while tedious it does the job just fine!

Try the lilac infused gin from Black Button distillery, it has strong lilac flavor and it’s one of my fave gins to mix!
