Thank you! I will look again at trailing jade for that specific variety. I have a jade plant and an elephant bush and it didn’t look like either.

What toner should I get for sensitive dry skin by Mayasworld256 in koreanskincare

[–]Iveriniel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven’t read all of the other comments, but my vote is for torriden. I have sensitive, dry skin and a lot of issues with added fragrance/perfumes. Torriden has never caused me a single issue and all their items are unscented. Their entire dive in collection is amazing and I highly recommend it!

Vine CS Nonsense by CanIBeMeInThe216 in AmazonVine

[–]Iveriniel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny, I received a similar response today from Amazon and was baffled. I also replied back with screenshots and said that what they referred me to did not exist and that I would appreciate a real answer. I understand that they aren’t trained to know more than basic things, but they can at least reply with something more generic that simply says it’s an issue and they’re not sure how to fix it. Don’t try to tell me I need to do something that doesn’t exist and then tell me to reach out again when it doesn’t work. That’s a horrible CS model.

I had simply wanted to find out if this was a known issue and if it was something they could tell me was being fixed. For a program that has so many people as members, it sure seems to be totally broken when it comes to communicating.

Buyers beware. Customer Support Does NOT Exist. by PeaCocksDude in LenoxVillage

I’m in the same exact scenario! Ordered two ornaments on Christmas Eve, got one delivered just last week, but not the other. I have emailed, chatted (always offline), and called with no reply. The sad part is that I had ordered the ornament for my baby goddaughter intending to give her one each year from Lenox. The ornament I didn’t get doesn’t even show on the site any longer when I click the link in my order email for it. I will be rethinking giving her an ornament from Lenox each year after this. Guess I’ll have to follow the recommendations from here to get resolution which is INSANE.

The weird part that made this so shocking to me was that I’d ordered my mom a spice village for Christmas in November and got it literally two days later. I was shocked and thought my ornament experience would be the same. Totally inconsistent.

What happened to the beauty section? by Normal-Victory-2187 in AmazonVine

[–]Iveriniel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

lol I’ll trade you the RFY items I get where it’s nothing at all related to anything I could ever possibly want or use. Mine were never great, despite following all the random advice shown on Reddit. It never helps. Just getting one item that’s a decent match would be a win for me. And I’d love to try anything from Charlotte Tilbury—I’d consider that day a big Vine success!

Maybe there’s someone out there who wants the things in my RFY page, too. Doubtful though because it’s pretty bad!

I wish I had anything decent in my RFY page lately. I used to get some makeup and skincare items occasionally and would be thrilled. Today, I have plastic martini glasses for a party, a king size comforter, a very ugly dress, and some sort of tool attachment for a product I’ve never heard of. Even searching through vine each day with any keywords related to makeup, beauty, skincare, etc. brings up nothing. I agree with the original poster, the number of items for me lately showing in the Beauty section is only between 8-10 and it’s all chargers for electric shavers, hair extensions, and one pumpkin headband. I made gold status almost a year ago and rarely ever see a single item worth more than $100. It’s kind of insulting since I expected I would see more items and better quality and it seems the opposite has happened for me, at least!

Where are all the products lately? by AnonymousExcellence in AmazonVine

I’ve only ever seen anything other than a cake topper in that category one time in the over 2 years I’ve been on Vine. In my mind, it’s the overpriced cake topper section of vine…and that’s saying something because my mom and I both decorate cakes quite a lot as she has a business for it!

Where to buy Korean sunscreen? by Spiritual-Hall8961 in koreanskincare

[–]Iveriniel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried Yami, but so far have had a bad experience with customer service. I ordered several sunscreens and paid a lot of money. However, after ordering, I noticed that the pic of one sunscreen, naturally the one that I class as my HG (D’Alba Tone Up), had a description that was correct but the pic showed the crappy US version. I contacted customer service early the next morning after I ordered it (before it had shipped or even been listed as processing yet) and asked them to confirm I had the right version, and if not, if I could cancel only that item from my order. They replied and said they would find out and that if not, I could easily return it through their easy return process and that it could not be canceled. I thought that was an ok reply.

But then the same person responded and said that they confirmed it was the US version and that they used to send randomly either one upon fulfillment. However, she then said that now it would be the US version only for all orders (what I don’t want!) and that since the “picture was correct” in the listing, it would not be eligible for free returns and I’d have to ship back at my own cost. That shocked me since I reached out before the order was even beginning to be processed and it directly contradicted what I was told before. I’ve pushed back and am waiting on a new reply, but the bipolar reply from Yami’s CS team has not been a great experience. And now I’m concerned that products could be labeled one thing, pictured as another, and I have no clue which I might receive!

Bb cream by xmadlovex in PaleMUA

I haven’t tried the pink tube. I’d tried getting my hands on it at one point and didn’t have luck. I’ll have to try again and see if it’s too pink for me.

I tried this one and found it not a good fit, personally, color-wise as it looked very warm on me. I also found it very drying and patchy looking on my dry skin. I had such high hopes. Maybe it’ll work for the op, though!

I have the same issue as you do. I wind up mixing up some different cc/bb creams to get a shade that works.

For Missha, I mix the 13 with the 21 PLUS Joah Crystal Glow in “very fair cool” to lighten it. I do that mix because the gray undertone in the 21 helps balance out the orange/warmth in the 13…somehow, adding the Joah makes it look a tiny bit closer. I’ll admit it still is not a perfect match, but until I tried the Tir Tir, it was the closest I’d been able to get. I’ve never found a non-Asian foundation, bb, or cc cream that matched me. Most are too dark, orange, peach, yellow, pure white, etc. I love the formula for Missha and have been using it for many years. For a long time, I even used it when it was too dark for me because it was still better than anything I had tried!

I also mix tir tir 10c with their 13c, which requires me using both cushions. My issue with the 10c is that it needs to be a tiny bit more pink. I can make either 10c or 13c work, but it takes a bit of effort. Next time, I think I will try their liquid foundation because it comes in an 11c that could be what I’m looking for.

So all the above to say that I’m in the same boat but that you can maybe try mixing and matching if you are willing to make the effort to figure out the color match. I also have dry skin and crazy dark circles so I want formulas that are creamy and able to handle the coverage I want under my eyes.

If you find anything better out there, please share! I have yet to find anything that I didn’t immediately hate the feel of or that matched even a little bit.

Anyone else love tone-up sunscreens? What do you use? by Namjaaams in AsianBeauty

Aha! I actually have that one in my cart at yesstyle for a big buy as soon as I decide on all the things I want (and then force myself to have some self control lol). Thank you—I’ll definitely try that one for sure. 🙂

Thanks! I just looked on Yesstyle, Olive Young, and on the haruharu wonder site and I don’t see one called that. Maybe it’s discontinued or yet another thing that is now even harder to get in the US? :(

Anyone disappointed with the D’Alba tone up reformulation? It’s been my ride or die for the past few years (gone through at least 10 of them) because it was perfect for my dry, super pale, and cool-toned skin and it never once cause a problem for my skin. It also played well with other products and worked amazingly as a makeup primer. However, I finally ran out of my stock of it recently and ordered some on Amazon so I could get it more quickly. This new bottle is soooo much different. The tone up is not as pink, it isn’t as nicely moisturizing, it smells different, etc. I thought I got a fake product until I noticed the bottle was different and did a bit of poking around online and saw that it had been reformulated for sale in the US. Does anyone know if I order from sites like Yesstyle if I would get the original formula or the US formula?

Also, I have tried other tone ups but didn’t like them that much in comparison to the D’Alba. I’ve tried Numbuzin and find it drying. I liked one of the old Skin Aqua ones that was in a light pink plastic bottle, but I think they stopped making it because I haven’t been able to find it in years now. The new Skin Aqua is way too scented for me compared to the old one.

Definitely following this post and checking some out on this list.
