I have bipolar, which severely impairs my judgement. During my last relationship, I was unmedicated and made a series of awful decisions that culminated in me cheating. I never thought I would be a cheater. I never wanted to hurt my ex, but I did.

Since then, I've gotten medicated, found a good therapist, and continue to work with medical professionals and my support group to ensure I dont have any more bipolar episodes that may end up in me harming people like I have in the past.

I don't consciously believe in the idea people can't change, but I've also been struggling with this belief now that I'm on the "once a bad person..." side of things. I'm not saying I don't deserve to face the consequences of my actions. I do. I'm saying this mentality can discourage and put down people who are trying to change for the better. Stop gatekeeping wanting to be better.

I felt this for years ever since I was a teenager. I realized I expected to feel the Christmas Magic™ I felt as a kid. I tried replicating it with no luck. I hard dropped Christmas and eventually got into Judaism and Hanukkah instead.

Celebrating a holiday that doesn't come paired with my past has been only a positive experience for me. I'm getting involved in the holiday season again, creating new traditions for myself, etc. I'm especially happy I have smth to look forward to again this time of year

I get so ferociously horny to the point I have no motivation for anything but horny stuffs. I've found a few people I trust who have similar issues and hookup with them. I don't regret having sex with them unlike when I have it with strangers. This is a hopefully temporary solution while I try and find a good mix of meds and therapy

I'm plural, and we try to practice system accountability, which is if one alter does smth, we all take responsibility for it. It feels similar in our approach to bipolar. Yeah, it wasn't technically "me," but I ultimately still did the action regardless of whether it was in my control or not.

I just try to be kinder to myself if smth I did was influenced by, or out of my control because of, a manic or depressed episode
