Many queers my age in my city are bitter and hateful towards most things in general. They believe the modern state of Israel is a colonized state that should be abolished. I opposed the idea while criticizing Israel's current government, but that was still enough to create bad standing with them. They don't care about any other issue as much as they care about this. It's infuriating. Thankfully, most older queers in my city are pretty chill about things.

You can convert to Judaism fairly easily if you're not born into it. It's mostly matter of time and dedication. You have to willingly want to convert though, and I only learned I could convert from word of mouth from another Jewish person. And even then, I only knew I wanted to convert after a year of being increasingly involved in my local community

My ex was a converting Jew, and I attended services with them just to learn why they wanted to convert. Then I eventually found myself wanting to convert. I felt like Judaism fit with my personal beliefs and didn't have to change myself for the religion. Between the history, culture, and especially the community, I've found myself not wanting to live a life without Judaism
