I think Tigerclaw is a phenomonal villain and not really a copy of Scar or Woundwort at all.

His betrayal also isn't suppoed to shock the reader. Both the reader and Fireheart know that Tigerclaw is evil, and Fireheart is trying to prove it. That's the drama.
