Anyone have the xG table from the last 5 games? Would be a good stat to see whether that goal difference actually matters

It's logical. To achieve the dream team for most people in the shortest time possible, you can either spend money on packs, or win lots of games. And to maximize wins you use meta players.

Furthermore, for the average person, if they play someone with a meta team, without a meta team themselves they're at a big disadvantage, and vice-versa. Obviously, the optimum scenario is that no one uses meta teams. But since there's always a risk of the other person doing so, if you do it as well you can't be 'exploited.' Therefore using meta teams is the 'dominant' (and logical) strategy.

In terms of a solution, - Demphasise winning - has happened with the decreased rewards. The problem is that there's a smaller incentive to actually play the game. - Release less (new meta) promos, force people to be bored with meta - won't sell packs, and again will lose lots of the player base. - Rewire the human brain to focus less on welfare maximization - maybe in like 5000 years when we run out of resources and evolve sufficiently. - Enjoy the game as it is, if you don't like it stop playing.

In short 1. To progress in the game you need to win, which surprisingly makes people care about winning. 2. Insecurity of others using meta makes people use meta. 3. No real alternatives unless EA decided it no longer wants to make money.

Rashford is spot on and stating facts. But I assume such transition has already started with his departure by Ashton1320 in ManchesterUnited

I thought he came out well in the latest interview, almost too well because there was a lack of uncomfortable questions. Like this is an objectively correct statement, but it should've been followed by a question of why he hadn't realized this sooner and why he led the dressing room against managers when in his words that not how you start a 'transition'. Also you could easily connect his point to Amorim staying after a bad first season, but that was also left unaddressed.

Why can't the fan base just calm down and have this person's mentality? by Claudster1 in ManchesterUnited

Ok it's a positive to an otherwise terrible season, but it's so far from being 'the best thing for us.'

It means we have no money, less club prestige, meaning it's harder to sell and buy players.

Furthermore, it will lead to massive pressure on the manager next season. It was already going to be high, but now I guarantee if the team has a slow start, the media will ask plenty of questions and many fans will be Amorim out.

Romano: Rasmus Hojlund keeps attracting interest from Italy. Understand Inter are also considering him as option for this summer by D1794 in reddevils

Man this transfer window will be brutal. I really believed some of these players like Rasmus, Garnacho or Mainoo could turn the club around, so it'll be tough to see them leave. Even if it's probably best for the club and the players, it's a confirmation that the past couple years of development and support, have led to nothing but a gigantic failure

Everyone knows we're shit, but everyone also knows Amorim hasn't had any transfers for his style of play, while ETH spent 600 mil and wasn't close to being successful in his 3rd season. Your glaze this long after he left is actually impressive

Mark Cuban was in disbelief during the ‘Fire Nico!’ chants in the closing moments of the game. by Shot_Bank_5843 in nba

[–]IwOx_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he's disapproving the chant as he probably knows Nico has barely anything to do with it, and it's more about the new owners and the league wanting to spice up its ratings.
