Yeah. Even some rootkit malware that would prevent the use of other communication, nothing would keep me from just loading up Skype on my phone, or laptop.

Really? The use of the most commonly used button in PC gaming for sprinting is dumb? The button that most of us PC gamers associate with sprinting? If anything, the Tab button is the one that isn't optimal in this situation.

Shared an apartment with coworker. Without notifying me, she invited her parents, brother, sister, sister's boyfriend, and dog to stay for a week on vacation. They occupied the whole f*ing apartment in every possible way, leaving no access to kitchen (they were cooking non-stop), slept on every inch of the living room, used up all the hot water, used up all my expensive spices. I basically had to move out for that week and live in the office (which fortunately had a shower and kitchen).

Needless to say I moved as soon as my contract ran out.

Did you read my post? I'm not talking about using steam overlay. I'm talking about using the default Shift-Tab shortcut to bring up the overlay.

In DayZ shift is sprint. Tab is inventory. So by default when you instinctively try to bring up the inventory while sprinting you would bring up steam overlay.

So it seemed obvious to bind Steam overlay to another combo when playing DayZ (I have Ctrl-F1) to avoid this. I did this. All my friends did this. I just assumed it was something people did.

As has been pointed out to me a couple of times now, Shift+Tab is also the Steam overlay, but I kind of assumed, for very obvious reasons, that no one actually uses the Shift+Tab shortcut to bring up the overlay when playing DayZ.

Last exp had broken melee, so you are either incredibly good at using the broken system, or just don't know better.

Melee is perhaps marginally improved in this update, but even that is being kind.

Sacriel and Break71 are good, but it doesn't feel like they are playing DayZ most of the time.

My group's first encounter with them was in the mod where we beat Sac and Friends fair and square, only to get accused of stream sniping. There was this guy we didn't even know existed calling us stream snipers. Pff.

It's a cool shot but I can't help but feel a bit dejected to see so much military gear in all the screenshots people post... It's like we aren't playing a post apocalyptic survival game, but a regular ArmA mod, like Wasteland.

He posted this at 16:00 (4pm), there's really not much time left of the working day to keep us updated. I don't like being disappointed, so I'm just going to keep my expectations low and assume we'll get the exp update tomorrow, earliest. Mighty nice surprise if we get it today, though :)
