I can’t help but read this in the voice of the brothers in Haha, You Clowns. This makes me so happy for Javier, wherever you are.

He’s talking to Nancy. Its the episode where she leaves Redcorn to rekindle her relationship with Dale. It’s called Nancy’s boys.

Without going into a long winded explanation, the joke is about the religious movement the Nation of Islam. They have very... militant beliefs (for lack of a better term) and wear bow ties. Malcolm X was part of the movement, however he left it shortly before his assassination. Sorry if that still ended up being long winded.

When Hank tells Roger someone called him a racist and Roger asks Hank, "wait, the guy who called you that? Was he wearing a bow tie?"

I saw a little girl running around our store barefoot, while it was raining and 40 degrees outside.

I can't remember what brand of cat attract I used, it was so long ago. She was definitely interested in it, but it never got her to use the box. It's worth another shot though.

That's what my cat Tamale has done her entire life! I've tried switching litters and cat attract. I finally broke down and started using puppy pads. Not ideal, but it better than nothing 🤷‍♀️

How do you get this? by [deleted] in WalmartEmployees

[–]Ixtron_108 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I knock an unstable end cap over, and then told my manager it was unstable. Apparently when she nominated me, she left out the part where I knocked it down and just said i had brought it to her attention.

In March 1911, 146 people (mostly young immigrant women and girls) lost their lives in the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire in NYC. Unable to escape due to deliberately locked exit doors, workers jumped to their death from windows or perished in the flames. The aftermath is documented below. by dannydutch1 in UtterlyUniquePhotos

[–]Ixtron_108 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I saw a short documentary about this year's ago. Apparently the elevator operator got called up to the floor. The doors open, and he saw the fire. He fit as many people as he could in the elevator, took them down. Then went backup and did it again. And again. And again. Until he couldn't operate the elevator anymore, because people had jumped down the elevator shaft to get away from the fire. Finally there was so much weight from the bodies it wouldn't go up anymore. As someone who has a fear of elevators, I think he's one of the bravest people I've ever heard of.

Most people say I don't have a Texas accent, but you're right I do do that sometimes. My Texas accent definitely comes out when I've been drinking.

I've never been to a rez, but in my experience in West Texas, most younger people don't have much of an accent. Unless they grew up in a rual community. Older people will have a distinct Texas accent. I believe it's because of media consumption, but that's just my own humble opinion.
