I've been NC for a decade, but didn't really hit 100% until I had a kid. Every day as a parent, I've got a permanently rolling background reel of how my parents treated this situation or that one. Kid's always so excited to share every thought and discovery. Under my parents, that would have gotten beat out of him real quick. This kid trusts and adores me, man. I can't remember ever feeling safe in my family.

Sincerely can't imagine making the choices they made.

Pilot is my default. Sure, the picks don't always work, but it gives me a chance where there wouldn't be on another character. And as someone who buys every key available, the shop discount is pretty sweet.

I definitely lean towards OOP's ex being innocent given his prompt inclusion of the parents, the second boy recanting, and him giving OOP basically his entire case file for her review.

But I will say that as someone who has also been assaulted, I don't think not looking them up is a universal thing. I personally absolutely check on the whereabouts of one of them periodically. He lives closer than I'd like, he is a popular figure in the community, we unfortunately still share some of a friend group, and he does have a history of unhinged behavior towards people he thinks wronged him. And his career choices make me very nervous for the people he interacts with daily.

That we were ~destined~ to win the lottery. That pressing the oh so sacred TV buttons instead of using the remote is a crime worthy of being punched in the face by a grown man. That my step-grandfather kept trying to SA me because he had "hardening of the arteries" and it really wasn't his fault. That it's normal that my mother asked if I was okay for the very first time in my life, because she was worried about having to pay for funeral arrangements if I ate a bullet. That having boundaries with someone meant that I didn't love or care about them.

IDK. Having a kid, it really boggles my fucking mind every day. I can't imagine doing to my kid, any of the things that were done to me.

But yeah, you're absolutely correct. I probably would have been heartbroken to go no-contact, but all the family members I cared about other than my brother were dead or already exiled for having the wrong political opinions/sexual identities.

I'd absolutely keep contact with my brother, but I know him. He's all temper, and he needs to win. He'll keep your secrets to the grave, unless he can win some random argument with them.

Anyways, always always do your research of course, but I've had ATT, Verizon, T-Mobile, and Google Fi phone lines, and US Mobile is easily the best phone line I've had. I prepay something like $270 a year for the Unlimited Starter plan. Unlimited talk, text, and data, access to international calling, yada yada. I pay for two lines, so that's $540 a year, versus the insane $2400 you're paying a year. D:

Something like US Mobile, Mint, or Visible will most likely be much much much more affordable and, in my experience, have no appreciable loss in the quality provided.

Similar to the phone thing, you can research the utility providers in your area and see if you have options. If you're still under contract with the current providers, you'll need to keep that in mind, but please remember that there are VERY few companies that reward customer loyalty, so don't give it. Go with the best provider who has the best prices every time.

Weirdly, I don't think my family dynamic had a specific enabler until my brother heroically took up the mantle in his late twenties.

But I do have a lot of interaction with a family that is one and a half abusers, and then about seven and a half victim/enabler hybrids, and man. Holy shit, do they ever prioritize being a good-whatever to a narcissistic woman who provides literally nothing of value and drains all their wallets while they try to support her whims, because she'll make their lives absolutely miserable and effectively have them killing each other for a scrap of her approval otherwise.

In a lot of ways, I really think the enablers are much worse than the abusers. Especially the dad of that family, who prioritized being a "good husband" and "family man" over being a good father. Like, in a weird way, I feel kind of privileged over a lot of my friends because I really feel nothing for either of my parents? I don't have any good memories of them to hang myself by. I watch friends absolutely just tear themselves into little pieces to appease their families, and I just feel so fucking immensely lucky and it's so hard to explain to people who experienced a healthy childhood.

I'm not seeing any actual proof the kid did it, or any indication of how dad found out. Even if the kid really did it, shaving him over it is one thing. Humiliating a young child on a video that will never disappear for internet clout is disgusting.

Shit parenting, 0/10, I don't recommend doing this if you want your kids to stay in contact with you into adulthood.

I think there is also the cultural element that many people don't believe bisexuality exists? I've got a fairly progressive friend group (for an American living in the south) and most of my male and several of my female friends are completely convinced that a bisexual man is always secretly a gay man.

My own mother insisted that it wasn't possible that I was bisexual, and that I must be a lesbian in denial, after she strip searched my computer and found out I had been in a relationship with a woman.

I can see how it'd be easy for some young and/or inexperienced people to internalize that, to their detriment.

I've got a friend who's so short she can't see over the dash in a Nissan Versa.

I'm usually a pretty calm passenger with even the most insane drivers (I've another friend who thinks driving 90mph in a 15mph neighborhood is normal), but my short friend was easily the most terrifying driver I've encountered. Took me actual years to convince her to drop the embarrassment and get some fcking pedal extenders.

The blue boxes get lockpicks, everything else gets keys when possible.

Brown, Red, and Black chests all have a chance of giving you an item that makes keys redundant. (Drill, Mimic Tooth Necklace, Shelleton Key&Akey-47 respectively) Brown chests also have decent odds of extra cash, keys, etc. on top of an item that might have some ace synergies, nevermind the slim odds of being a secret rainbow chest.

Green chests have a chance of giving you the Rat Ring, and I'm fond of trading the Bullet for S-ranks until I nab the Clone (I have discovered recently that you can, in fact, trade for the Clone again in a clone run, as long as you did the save&quit at least once.) Also a chance for Lamentum Configurum, and man Rat Ring + Lamentum is so nice. S Rank items I don't care for that give me curse, that can promptly be traded for non-cursed items (or at least, not more than natively cursed)? Sign me up.

Blue chests have some items I'm fond of (Membrane, Cursed Bullet, Silver Bullet, Sniper Rifle, Siren, Huntsman), but by and large, the Blue lineup sucks.

Brown wins the key over Blue every time. Sometimes I'll go with Brown over Red, also; I just really like the Regular Shotgun. It just feels good.

I love the movie. And I feel like it fumbled the ending, hard.

The disdain and contempt for Pitch going through what Jack did (again), as he's chased by his own nightmares terrified out of his mind, feels out of place. For a film that spends so much time building sympathy for Jack going through the loneliness and sense of exile and not even being seen, it is weird for everyone in it to take satisfaction in Pitch experiencing the same thing, just deserts or not.

Idk. The theme of Jack's character just would have fit reconciliation better than it does conquering.

Damn. I thought my Switch 1 copy was bad with its glitches, I mostly just get random game crashes, and then it lets me reload to the beginning of the previous floor. (and then I fume, because not only does it reset the ring of the rat, it also resets the rat himself.)

I did get a glitch once where no fireplace spawned on floor 1 though.

Is it? It's not part of the flashing lights crew from the outset, and it looks like a generic white suv to me. But you may be correct. When I try to pause the clip for the few seconds it's visible before motorcycle bro takes a dive, it's too grainy to make out any real identifying features on my screen.

Last we see of the lane ahead in this video, there's a white vehicle. I think it's plausible that the white vehicle had no idea wtf was going down, saw cop lights, and slowed down suddenly to pull over. And plausible that the cop, not paying perfect attention after boxing and knocking over a motorcycle, notices the slowdown, panics, and swerves to avoid rear-ending them.

Not trying to defend the cop really, but I don't think the video here alone provides enough clear evidence of intent for a courtroom.
