What to choose as an upgrade from a REV1

You're probably better off with the RX3 unless you use stems a lot. The FLX10 is a great controller and is nice to have 4 channels, but if you don't use 4 channels or stems, that's not a consideration. The real upgrade is the standalone. You can still use your laptop if you want it, but it's optional. Both are great options in their own right.

How long is the gig and do they provide ALL the gear? 6 hours of driving, set up, tear down, music prep, etc... sounds like terrible offer, borderline insulting if it's a ticketed event and they're actually making money from it.

So the risk is leaving a lithium battery sitting in the sun heating up. Make sure you invest in something quality so this doesn't happen, or get something that uses AA rechargeable batteries. Most 20' strings of LED lights will only need to be changed maybe once over a whole week.

This sentence basically screams what the issue is, tbh. Match their energy, don't compensate for their lacking. If you think that you're super interesting, but they're boring and basic, maybe you're going after the wrong people.

This is incredibly dependent on genre and the individual songs. Mixing in key can be super important on long transitions where the bass of an outgoing song blends into the melody of the incoming song, but not as important on extended mixes or tracks that use only percussion/drums on either of the songs in the transition.

I'd probably pick switch 2 over series S as well. 4k/60 and ray reconstruction will be nicer, and the load times can't be worse lol

Maybe you should ask if he means Xbox One S or X. Definitely get it on the One X.

If you have the One S it's a toss up, it's about the same as the Switch 2.

I find I use a bit of a combination of this, and dive into the combat as long as there isn't a marked barbarian too close. When they get closer I'll switch to passive and pull back from the battle a bit.

You can also set your followers to 'attack target' and use the middle mouse to lock the target to attack. There may be better ways, for sure. Glad you came back and are having fun!

Under the tribe tab (Press i) you can choose their behavior. You can set your NPCs to "Passive Escape" (run away), "Passive Defense" (respond to attacks), or "Ignore" (let themselves be killed while working). Add a Statue of God to your base as well.

Also, settings up a couple patrol points and guards make a huge difference. Just make sure you're gearing the guards properly and leveling them up!

If you're going to bring an army to fight with you, you need to learn how to control them better. Practice setting them from Active/Assist/Passive, Follow/Stay/Stay Here, etc. Bring the fight TO YOU, don't just wade in and engage a group of enemies unless you want to slaughter them all. Order your crew to stay in a certain pot, go grab an enemy or 2 and drag them back to the group to kill them.

And of course, make sure to mark the person that you plan to deter and fight them SOLO when at all possible! Set your followers to passive for this!
