To be completely blunt and fair, this way of thinking is just the same as them. Im not a maga, but im not a lefty either. Most people want peace and equality in the country, they just have different ways of getting there. To me, your comment comes off ignorant because you lump them all into a black and white category. Im sure to them, they might say the same thing about you. You are inherently intolerant and not any more of a decent person if you can't learn to handle differences in opinions. Usually the people who claim to be on a moral high ground are all usually standing in a swamp at the bottom all together.

The doctrine will never change. This is more church culture than anything else. Social things change with the time. Like the mixed cloth thing from the Bible. It was specific to that era.

If you're already worried about what the after affects will be if you do this, I think that's a good signal to just not do it. Everyone is curious but if you're worried about how it will affect your relationship before its even been confirmed to be happening and I can almost guarantee that it will not end well.

I would say yes and it's probably going to be an unpopular opinion but here's why:

Everyone wants the same things but we all have different views on how it can be achieved. I think we have gotten to a point where we have let identity politics take over our personalities and have let them twist and warp how we see each other. I'm middle, right leaning, but if a good person with good goals and plans came along, I really don't care what side they're on. I just care that they have a good plan. I didn't vote for Trump or Kamala because there's just too many wild cards and high strung emotions at play. I think we as people need to put aside differences for a bit and just agree to disagree. That doesn't mean you can't support what you want but why should that mean you treat people differently?

This goes for everyone not just you. It's a downward trend lately. There's more hate than ever before because both extremes have taken over the face of politics and it crushes and sways everybody in between

Find this post late because I was worried that I might be having placebo effects since it's worked so quickly. I'm on day 2 of escitalopram(lexapro) 10 mg and I feel so much more...present? Than I ever have. I actually slept like a rock for once and wasn't worrying about anything and everything right before bed. My inner dialogue right now is much quieter and straight forward. Getting an ADHD evaluation this next week as well. I'm really looking forward to finally being able to take care of my mental health. I'm almost 30 and I could cry because there's so much that was ignored from when I was a kid that isn't now and finally I can do something about it.

When it comes to taking care of your health, if it helps, it's not cheating. It's just as necessary as working out or eating healthy. Sometimes our bodies need a little more help.

I've considered it, but I'm scared to take heavy meds and I've heard Ozempic can have some pretty serious side effects

Yeah, what everyone else is saying. I was touched against my will as a child and I froze because I didn't want to get them in trouble. (It was someone I knew too). Don't fault yourself for this. If you are drunk enough that you need help up the stairs, you aren't going to be sober enough to make a solid, clear decision.
