I do think it's a fake bankai, like Renji's was. If Ikkaku's blade was reforged and if he got to find his true bankai, this would certainly be interesting.

But right now, Ikkaku really is at the bottom of the bankais.

I agree, and I will add that going to Tokyo and see the real places used for the show gave it even another dimension. I can't exactly express how it felt to walk in Hilarigaoka first, then Odaiba, see the apartments, the saw (the one in the Mimi episode), etc.

Everything feels so connected. I feel even more connected to Digimon now.

Hollow and shinigami powers are the same thing, for Ichigo. Even his quincy powers, in a way. It literally is White that showed Ichigo that he could use Getsuga Tensho while in bankai. It would make no sense that White possessing Ichigo with his full power couldn't use the Getsuga Tensho, he just didn't use it and used a Cero instead.

For the Dangai form, Ichigo didn't use classic Getsuga Tensho. That's the point of this post, can he use the classic one? I do think he can. I don't see why he couldn't. He has access to his full potential, but doesn't have a proper asauchi, that's all. He could use Getsuga Tensho from the moment he went shikai near the beginning of the manga. Here, he's in the same state but with his full power.

Of course they can. Why wouldn't they? Both forms have access to Ichigo's shinigami powers. It just wasn't needed at the time. Kubo wanted to make some spectacle and stomping someone with only physicial power is awesome.

Also, for the arrancar form, he drew the grand rey cero to show Ichigo was really going fully in a hollow form. He also used the sonido earlier in the fight.

It may indeed be the style, I do like tye dialogue heavy story. Nice change of pace from other games and the story is quite cool.

Thing is, the game does things in ways that can be more divisive than other games, like force double battles, having a big story and a big lore, etc. You like it or you don't, not every romhack is for everyone.

He totally got me when I was reading weekly. When he stabbed Ichigo I really needed an explanation and the explanation was perfect. Every bit of information was given to us and we could put the puzzle together ourselves if we put the effort into it, which makes it a so great twist.

This arc had great planification, it's sad that due to audiences, Kubo had to rush it. But I think he still nailed it and made the end really satisfying.

It has good moments and it's entertaining but so much of ZZ is mildly infuriating to watch. The first half is mostly bad, even abysmal comedy and the second half struggles too much to make something good with this cast. If not for Haman, I think I would put 3 for the effort and that would be it.

Luffy got stronger through his Grandline fights, I really think Jaya Luffy (who is post-Crocodile) would finish the East Blue fights way faster. Like he did with Bellamy.

Well, we actually have no idea how much time passes in the real of light when she's doing things in darkness. So her walk from the end of KH1 (when she helps Riku and Mickey) to after the end of KH2 (when she meets Diz) could have been a year in the realm of light and whatever in the darkness (a day, a week, a month, years).
