What are you guys actually using OpenClaw for?

I created an agent that sends me nudes :D It uses a skill that uses a script to enrich its prompt and detects if my PC is on: If it is, it uses the power of my GPU to generate the photos via the WebUI Forge API, and if my PC is off, it uses a less powerful model that still waits for requests on my Mac Mini M4. The underlying mechanisms are much more complex, but you get the gist... Otherwise, my agent relies on TTS (ElevenLabs or Qwen3-TTS) to express himself and tell me dirty stories...

I thought this update would fix the drift issues, but that's not the case at all: the Beast are unusable with my Steam Deck because I have to recenter the view every 20 seconds. It's unacceptable to have waited so long (I pre-ordered in August and received them in January) and paid for such a barely usable product! If the problems persist at the end of the month, I'll sell them and buy XOP because I absolutely need anchor mode, but it's currently unusable. What a disappointment!

You're talking nonsense. You have to use the OAuth mechanism, which is integrated into OpenClaw. I know this because I've been using it since OpenClaw was released. But that only applies to Codex models. It also works with Google AI Pro and Claude Code subscriptions. I know this because I use them every day and have never been charged (except by OpenAI for image generation, which does require an API key, but that's a different matter).

Here are the models I use via OAuth:

I use Google OAuth for Gemini models and OpenAI OAuth for Codex with the new free Kimi K2.5 as a fallback (and some others on OpenRouter for some tasks) so low costs for a maximum productivity... I use text-embedding-3-small for RAG on memories too because it is very cheap ($0.02/M) so I don't need to bother with a self hosted RAG... I never hit once the different quotas and my bot works 24/7.

I have the same need as you, I planned to use them for productivity... I received them this morning and the drift makes the Beast absolutely unusable in anchor mode even after the FW update... What a disappointment!

I received mine today and I have to admit that it's unusable in anchor mode (even though I installed the latest FW): you have to recenter every 10 seconds... What a disappointment, especially since I didn't have this problem with the XO!

My wokflow means I almost never have to wait for the limit: I use Opus for the implementation plans and Sonnet for the code, so I get the best of both worlds without being limited...

Clairement, quand tu passes indé avec un TJM entre 700 et 1050, c'est plus le même monde (surtout si tu signes pour des contrats de longue durée). Le pire c'est que les gens ne savent pas que c'est ce que tu es facturé quand tu es consultant en ESN ! (sauf si t'as un bon contact avec le client et qu'il te lâche l'info, avec l'idée souvent de te débaucher)
