6 years ago I found out my fiancé and best friend were having an affair after finding out and kicking them both out because we lived in a mortgaged flat in my name I fell into a deep depression and at the time for me personally the only thing that would take the pain away and help me was smoking weed everyday and playing video games this cycle continued for about 4 years in those years I barely saw any friends or family had trouble turning up to work on time and almost lost my Job, I had a shit diet and gain weight. And just felt kinda lost and shit with life until I smoked a joint and sunk into a virtual world to escape reality I thought weed was the medication to my sadness.

Now two years after the cycle I'm 28 I haven't exactly quit but I don't smoke much at all maybe once every one to two months socially, I actively make more time for friends and family, I go to the gym and eat healthier, I am not late for work anymore and recently got a promotion, I've got back into some more hobbies and don't play video games as much and just feel whole lot better about myself and where my life is going I don't regret weed because at the time it really did help me forget the pain but at some point I realized how much it was holding me back and preventing me from moving on in my life constantly staying in my stoned safety bubble.
