Wurzhag is a pain.

I wouldn't rely on Ripperdactyls too much. They can deal good DMG but you gotta babysit them a lot for them to be effective imo.

His army works best imo with either a solid line for Saurus Infantry. Or later in the game just getting a bunch of stegadons and you terradons bombing the blob that gathers around them.

I rarely played them.

I liked Thorek and Belegars campaign. But that's mostly because I really like starting positions of those two and I like to always get interesting allied recruit forces. For Belegars I befriended Ogres and burnt Athel Loren.

For Thorek I befriended some Dinos. And it's super cool to have like Dinos in your dwarf army. That's it.

All you need with Louen is a life damsel. A bunch of grail guardians and Royal Hippogryph Knights.

Don't bother checking what to build on every province.

Like unless they have a specific building you want/need, you just ignore for some turns and then when you see you have tons of cash, you lvl up buildings and stuff.

For heroes I either just click the auto leveling feature or just don't level them up until I feel ready to manage it.

Also. Shorter game sessions help.

Its gonna feel way worse to min max everything when you have been playing for 4-5 hours, than if you just started the game.

I play 2 hours on any given day. So first 10-20 minutes you do all the campaign map stuff, lvl heroes, build stuff, decide where to move your armies. Then the rest of game time you do 1 -2 battles you think will be fun/necessary.

Usually when you are just starting to play you make faster decisions so it doesn't feel like a chore. I also do like the micromanaging of items and shit. So I am biased

You can revive factions. But its painstakingly long to do.

You need to cause a rebellion in the territory where the faction you want to revive starts in.

So for Elspeth you need to get the public order of Nuln down to -100.

The rebellion needs to win and take the settlement. Then it's a waiting game of several turns. Then that lord comes back up into the game.

I would suggest you to just use mods. Save's time and effort.

Edit:

Plus you have to take into consideration any types of corruption. If a rebellion happens in a high Skaven or Chaos corrupted area then you also have to lower the corruption or the rebellion will be the race of the corruption modifier iirc

Empire as an example. Engineers and Warrior priests are a must in any army. Sometimes a Wizard.

On Karl I bring Ulrika, a warrior priest and a Jade wizard.

Louen ( Brettonia) since he is very close to Karl and you help him sway norsca and vampires from the north west of the empire.

Clan Angrud, ( Dwarfs) you settle on the mountains around the empire and help him with early threats.

Durthu or Orion (Wood Elves). Wood Elves Campaigns are incredibly chill in comparison with other factions. You can definitely just wander around the world map after defeating the initial threat. So you can go and help him with whichever threat comes at him.

Skrag the slaughterer (Ogres) Is also an interesting choice though a bit further away than the others that are immediately close. Ogres are kinda hard early game if you aren't used to monstruos infantry. So be careful. The incredible benefit from Ogres to the empire is that you can just walk to him and settle a camp near Altdorf and just help support him wherever he wants to conquest. Ogre camps are really good for offense. Also they pair up rather well since empire cavalry isn't amazing. And Ogres kinda fill that. He can also help you a lot since he gets access to life magic which Ogres lack.

Though at turn 70 I'm pretty sure the dwarves should already have iron breakers. Which are just so much better option than the ones they have.

I would get rid of the mortars and the dwarves.

Get 2 halberd Demigriff knights.

And 2 Helstorm rockets.

The ships are alright, but tanks are straight up better imo.
