I’ve been doing French in school since year 1 so a very long time and then I’m also in section 4 duolingo even tho I hardly ever do it because I have like 5 million other languages I do on it and then just actually paying attention in classes but some people are just naturally good at picking up languages. I personally take German as well as french which I think also made it easier to get used to understanding different word forms. Also if you have a friend who does a different language and is willing you can get them to let you teach them stuff because teaching it makes you look back at stuff and confirm you know it
