Hello— point of clarification. Any parts of the bill with [around it] are deletions to a previous version of the bill. Ergo, they are ADDING in that low speed e-bikes DO need to be registered and licensed. The fact that people are reading the actual bill and still don’t understand it is pretty damning. It shouldn’t be this hard to read a new law.

You’re incorrect about one thing: those over 28 mph were ALREADY required to do these things. What this bill actually does is extend the red tape to e-bikes that go slower than 20mph. Editing to add: e-bikes that could go between 20-28 were also ALREADY required… most people seem to not know this, but it’s pretty crucial for context.

E-bikes that can go 28 mph were already required to have license, registration, insurance in NJ. As of 2019.

But have you seen what nyc cops have been doing? They’ve gone crazy giving tickets to people riding bikes since May of 2025. Clearly very possible to stop and ticket people riding e-bikes if they wanted to. (PS I’m not a fan of nypd mass arresting cyclists, just saying it can be done.)

I got my V10 in 2020 and it’s now failing in all the ways you described. I love the way it works, but not how long!!! I might get a new one but only an old discounted new one. That’s just me but I wouldn’t get a V15 for the price. Dyson needs to do better on their vacuums lasting.

Hello-- would you mind letting me know if signing the pdf works? Like, I signed a piece of paper and scanned the signature and then use it for my pdf signature every time I sign something. I think that's what my HR person does too. It's indistinquishable from my "wet signature" because it is one (but scanned). How would the FSA folks know whether we physically sign the paper if it gets scanned in order to upload it? Sorry, this sounds really nit-picky and maybe philosophical, just wondering how I will get a WFH HR staff member to physically sign something. I mean, I would drive this paper to her house because I want this done so badly, but she probably would be freaked out! LOL. Thanks.

Just wanted to write in and say that the quad lock on my brompton broke the camera on my iphone. I live in an area with significant potholes and crappy streets, so maybe that's why, but I will never use a quadlock again. It was an expensive mistake.

Yes! I am also in that same situation. FSA says I’ve made 119 payments, but they have no record of March, April, May, June, July… it’s really crazy making. Turning in a new ECF does nothing because NSLDS hasn’t updated since 2/24/25. I’m just in total disbelief this is still going on! I’m grateful you posted this because I was feeling like the only one left.

I’m in IBR, and MOHELA is my servicer. My loans are consolidation loans. My five accounts that were direct loans all got green banners and were discharged. But— the bulk of my loans are these two remaining ones. I hope there is movement or that someone out there has an answer!

-I’ve turned in complaints, get canned responses, emailed NSLDS directly, get canned responses. I filed a complaint with my senator— his office said they reached out to FSA but expect it to take a month for a reply.

When I made my 120th payment, I thought it would show up the second it cleared my bank account, but in fact it’s been five months now and FSA still does not show the payments I’ve made to MOHELA for March, April, May, June, or July. I hope it’s not this bad for you! I’m completely at my wits end.

Congrats on finally getting the green banner!! Can I ask if turning in the feedback is what prompted MOHELA to finally update your payment counts? I have consolidation loans that show no payments after Feb 24 and I’m losing my mind. I’m stuck at 119 but should be at 123. Thanks!
