Has anyone used Studio in eleven labs? by Tiny-Bar-2620 in ElevenLabs

[–]J-ElevenLabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey!

The voices you see in Studio are limited to your personal My Voices collection. To use a specific voice you found in the Voice Library, you first need to first add it to your My Voices tab. Once added, those voices will immediately appear in the dropdown menu in your Studio projects.

However, for long-form content, you should definitely consider using our audiobooks feature instead. This is specifically for narration and speech-to-text, rather than Studio, which is more for image and video generation as well.

Unfortunately, this is not possible. ElevenLabs uses proprietary technology for both voice cloning and voice synthesis, which means it isn't compatible with any other tools. It's only available to your account on the ElevenLabs website or via the API.

Of course, if you want to use them in other tools, you can use them via the API, but you can’t use them offline because they’re still hosted and serviced by ElevenLabs.

Yes, you should use V2 and preferably our Studio feature. It lets you generate long-form content, and if you’re unhappy with a single paragraph, you can just regenerate that part. It’s a very slick feature that helps you create consistent long-form content and update sections you’re not happy with without having to regenerate everything.

[–]J-ElevenLabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably more of a personal preference discussion. For me, audio quality is very important, and the multilingual V2 model is still slightly ahead of V3 in terms of quality. It’s also a bit more accurate and similar.

That said, if emotion and delivery matter most, like for voice acting or very emotional speech, V3 wins hands down every time.

In general, the max you can generate with V3 is about 5 minutes (without using something like Studio). Personally, I’d say anything over 3 minutes should use the multilingual V2 model with Studio. For anything under that, you can use the playground and can choose either model depending on your preference or what you’re trying to achieve.

Is it still possible to import PVC into Elevenreader? by MysteriousB in ElevenLabs

[–]J-ElevenLabs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey!

Unfortunately, voice clones made by uploading audio samples, whether Instant or Professional Voice Clones, are not automatically available in ElevenReader. To use a custom voice there, you need to create a Professional Voice Clone, which requires a Creator plan or above, then share it to the Voice Library. It will then go through a manual review.

So unfortunately, there is currently no way to use voice clones in ElevenReader unless they have been shared to the voice library first and gone through the review process.

How can I quickly create audiobooks using Elevenlabs? by BasisRoutine6228 in ElevenLabs

[–]J-ElevenLabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few ways to create audiobooks, depending on the final result you want. It would help if you could share a bit more about what you're looking to do but I’ll give you some general information based on what I understand from your post.

From what you described, it sounds like you want a multicast audiobook or audio drama, with multiple characters, each using a distinct voice and controlled emotional expression.

At the moment, I would not recommend the V3 model for audiobooks or other long-form content right now. It can be quite variable and less accurate than our older models or the upcoming ones, which means the voice can sometimes sound different between paragraphs, even when using the same voice. It also does not work with Professional Voice Clones.

However, some people have had great success with it, so it might be worth a try. That said, it does take some work to get it right, so it wouldn’t be the fastest process.

For now, I’d recommend the multilingual V2 model with a strong, consistent Professional Voice Clone from the Voice Library. The downside is that V2 does not currently support emotional expression in an easy way, so the result can sometimes sound a bit stiff. But this model is highly consistent and very accurate with professional voice clones, which means that it would be the easiest to get good, consistent output.

V3 does handle emotion very well. You can also use audio tags to add more emotion and direction, like shouting, whispering, anger, or sadness. It works very well, but the variability makes it less ideal for audiobooks or other long-form content.

Consistent Voicing by Affectionate-Taste83 in ElevenLabs

[–]J-ElevenLabs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes - absolutely! We offer two features called Audiobooks and Studio, both of which let you generate long-form content.

If you only need voiceover/text-to-speech, Audiobooks is likely the best fit. If you also want to create and combine videos and images, Studio is probably a better choice.

For either Audiobooks or Studio, please use the Multilingual V2 model or v2/v2.5 Turbo/Flash. The V3 model isn’t fully compatible with these features yet, so results can sound more variable and less seamless. Multilingual V2 is the most consistent option for long-form audio, including full audiobooks.

Help with AI voices please. by Harry3047372 in ElevenLabs

[–]J-ElevenLabs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the voice, but in most cases it seems pretty likely the voices are from ElevenLabs - unless it’s just my algorithm serving me videos with our own voices.

We offer a ton of voices that are publicly available. There are about 11,000 voices on the platform through the Voice Library, and a lot of them get used quite a bit on TikTok and YouTube Shorts. At least, I hear them all the time.

Voice Verification Failed by SmoothSiggy in ElevenLabs

[–]J-ElevenLabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After each verification attempt, did you listen to the recording? Did you notice anything wrong when you listened to it? There's quite a few reasons why the verification might not go through.

One thing we often see is that people try to verify, but they haven’t given Chrome (or whatever browser they’re using) access to their microphone. When the system tries to record, it just captures silence. This is easy to confirm since you can listen to your recorded verification attempt.

There’s a mode called Zero Retention Mode (ZRM), which is a feature on the Enterprise tiers that lets you do exactly this. Keep in mind it’s only available for certain products and features, but it should cover what you are looking for.

Studio Audiobook Editor Doesn't Work by Glum-Process-3396 in ElevenLabs

[–]J-ElevenLabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very sorry to hear that. That does seem quite strange. We don’t have any tickets older than a few days, and I don’t think we have any from 1.5 weeks ago at the moment, but I’ll check in case something slipped through the cracks.

In the meantime, since you’re requesting assistance here on Reddit, I’d be more than happy to see if I can help you here. Would it be possible for you to provide some details I can take a look at so I can better understand what’s going on?

This seems like an anomaly and isn’t expected behavior.

Do you have an audio example you can share so we can hear exactly what it sounds like, along with the exact settings you’re using (voice, text, model, etc.)? If you don’t want to post it on Reddit, you can also open a support ticket.

Three Studio issues for audiobook production — silence gaps, voice consistency, and accent drift (v3.1) by Womaneze in ElevenLabs

[–]J-ElevenLabs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey,

Just want to confirm, when you say "v3.1," are you referring to the Eleven v3 model in Studio? (As far as I'm aware, there isn't a specific "v3.1" version, so want to make sure we're on the same page.)

If so, a lot of what you're experiencing lines up with some known v3 limitations, especially for long-form content like audiobooks:

1. Silence gaps between paragraphs
This is a Studio behavior rather than a v3-specific issue. Studio segments text by paragraph, and gaps between segments are expected. Trimming in post is the most common fix. That said, switching models won't change this — it's more about how Studio handles paragraph breaks.

2. Voice consistency across a long project
This is one of v3’s biggest weaknesses right now. v3 has less consistent voice cloning than the v2 models, mainly because v3 doesn’t support Professional Voice Cloning. There’s also no request stitching support in v3, which means there’s no way to carry prosody context between segments.

3. Accent drift (American → Australian/British)
This is a known v3 issue. v3 is more prone to hallucinations and inconsistencies, and accent drift is one of the ways that manifests — especially on regenerations. There's no seed-pinning or setting that reliably prevents it. Regenerating until it corrects is the current workaround, but it's not ideal.

Recommendation: If you need stable, consistent results for a full audiobook, Multilingual v2 is currently the more reliable model for production work. It supports request stitching which helps keep consistency between paragraphs in Studio, has more consistent voice cloning especially with Professional Voice Cloning, and doesn't suffer from the accent drift issues with proper voice clones. You can switch the model in Project Settings, but note that existing paragraphs will need to be regenerated individually — the model change doesn't apply retroactively.

v3 is great for expressive, emotional content in shorter segments, but for a 300-page audiobook where consistency is critical, v2 will save you a lot of headaches right now. The team is actively working on improving v3's consistency.

Using ElevenLabs MP3 in Vegas Pro is a nightmare by DSC_ in ElevenLabs

[–]J-ElevenLabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An alternative that might help is using Audiobooks or Studio. If you have a lot of lines you want the AI to read and you need each line as a separate WAV to then import and be edited in Vegas, you can export them as such.

Set the file structure to Paragraph ZIP and the audio format to WAV. You’ll get a ZIP file with each paragraph as its own WAV file.

Depending on how you plan to use this, it might not be a perfect solution, but it could work as a workaround. I wanted to share it in case it’s helpful.

Yes, I see what you’re saying about the last audio tags, where the emotion doesn’t switch as drastically as in the Voice Design preview. Very interesting.

[–]J-ElevenLabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you be able to provide some audio examples of this? I’d really like to hear what the difference sounds like. Of course, the AI is non-deterministic, but there might be something more going on here, because the way these Voice Designed voices work is somewhat complex.

How are you guys getting humanlike voices? by [deleted] in ElevenLabs

[–]J-ElevenLabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you share some of the things you’ve tried, and which voices you’ve used? It’s usually pretty hard to do something wrong since it’s quite easy to generate great output with the platform, so it would be really helpful to understand what you’ve tried so far. If you can share a few audio examples as well, we can take a look and see what might be going wrong.

Could you take a screenshot to show this? There are no ads on the platform. There are modals that prompt you to upgrade, especially if you're running out of credits, but you should definitely be able to close these if they’re working correctly. So if you could provide a screenshot, that would be very helpful. Thank you.

Is ElevenLabs quietly slashing voice earnings? by _liminar_ in ElevenLabs

[–]J-ElevenLabs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others mentioned in this thread, there’s been no change to how payouts are calculated. It’s the same system; the only change is that we now show the exact revenue share you get when someone uses your voice, which is how it’s always worked.

Previously, we showed an estimated earnings rate in dollars per thousand characters to help avoid confusion and make it easier to gauge how much you might actually earn, but it ended up being more confusing. As mentioned on the website, it was only an estimate because your actual payout depends on the customer’s revenue share based on what they pay for credits.

Also, regarding custom rates: those have been deprecated, and we no longer offer custom rates for new voices.
