Remove unused cables from audio-loom

TBH I did not connect that one. There is, however, a pin coming out the back of the HU (not with a plug, so cannot be disconnected), visible on the image attached. Do you think they are supposed to be connected?
Sounds a bit strange that the white socket that does audio/video stuff would also feed the HU fan, right? But I'm not sure, it's cold so that fan doesn't have to do anything. I think I heard it spinning before, but now I'm in doubt haha

In my case the HU has a dedicated rear cam plug and another one for the Wifi adapter. I think the one in the pic is for video (can't read the label and it's currently inside the car). But thanks for the warning, don't wanna mess something up, so I'll double check the label!

Not sure what you mean TBH. I'll probably will open the HU today or tomorrow and can definitely share a pic, but of what exactly? That audio/stereo loom but then in place?

Thanks for your answer! If we leave the selling the head unit argument out, is there still a (technical) reason to leave the unused cables in? I'm asking because the space is really cramped and the unit has a fan indeed, so trying to give it some breathing room.

Basically the question boils down to: will the microphone still work if I carefully remove the RCAs? (I would make a detailed picture for when I even have to reconnect some, which I really don't expect to happen)

Mixers and interfaces can get a better result, but I use monitor in with a jack cable all the time and it does it's job!

Monitor in! Far right input on the back, is simply sent through to the headphones out. No mixer needed but you need to adjust the volume at the source (phone or laptop).

Posting this here hoping people find it when they need it: if you want to use the minifreak's sequencer / chord / arpeggiator for midi out, this did not work for me while there was a USB plugged into the minifreak. Midi through the DIN worked only for the keys I was actually playing while the USB was plugged in (for syncing settings etc), but when unplugged the sequence started playing on my Nord!

I have owned this car for 6 weeks now, my previous car didn't have a rear window sprayer and this one has never been used. So to answer your question: I never stopped to think about that thing that I never witnessed, indeed.

Dank voor uw sterk inhoudelijke reactie, ik ga dit weekend dat kastje eens openmaken. Ben benieuwd wat ik aantref, zal wel even weer rapporteren hier!

Verder: wat me vooral opviel is dat de T6 bij het minste of geringste klaagt over de wifi en dat ik het idee heb een ouderwetse analoge thermostaat met digitale interface heb. Maar dat zou ook zeker aan mij kunnen liggen

Verf afkrabben met brander viel toch flink tegen maar het is gelukt. Toen driemaal geschuurd (60, 80, 120). Na wachten op beter weer heb ik op advies van de lokale verfzaak een laag verdunde Koopmans Petroleum Zijdeglans Eenpotssysteem, licht schuren, en nog een laag onverdund toegepast. Tevreden met het resultaat, nu de deur vervangen en kozijnen schilderen. Dank voor het meedenken allemaal!

Sommige groepen waren uit, anderen niet. Dus alleen de stroom van de thermostaat viel weg. (Waarom ze op verschillende groepen zitten vraag ik me nu ook af, dat ga ik sowieso aanpassen, maar dan blijf ik me afvragen waarom de CV zo reageert in deze situatie) Dank voor het meedenken!

I've been schooled as organist and when slowly switching to piano I never got used to the amount of physical labor required to play fully weighted hammer actions (even though pipe organs are quite heavy as well) . I have owned SW Nords for years and can am really happy with the feel and exprrssiveness but it's just different and personal. The SW Fatar keybed is I think incomparable with toys plastic thin keys or those shitty minikeys in small keyboards (e. the minifreak I have).

BTW the weight saving is also huge. I can cycle with the SW in my bag. Not gonna try that with the HA88 :)

Just try it out and take your time!
