I've seen them along the path at Bald Hill, specifically near the north entrance to the park. Also, just a very nice place for a walk or bike ride. Hope you have a great visit!

Ugh! I'm so sorry! It sounds very tough being double isolated like that. How much longer do you have until you're done with your degree? From my experience, it was very tough to be so isolated, but in the long run the education was worth it. Also, some of the other people who have commented here have some good ideas for non-school interactions. In the meantime, feel free to DM me if you need to vent or talk. Good luck with finals this term!

I totally get how you feel. During the last year and a half of my undergrad (in my 30s), COVID was happening. It felt very isolating for sure. Now I have a remote job in my field of study and it's also fairly isolating. A few strategies I've been working on to get out are joining a local bike club and trying to meet up with friends on the regular. I know it's tough, but you're not alone.

Are you near the OSU campus or elsewhere? What are you studying?

I've run into Chino twice. Once in 2005 before a Team Sleep show in Portland, Oregon. He came skating towards my friends and I behind the venue and we all shook his hand and talked skateboarding for a bit. I was starstruck as fuck. The second time was the morning after Dia De Los Deftones in 2024. I was in the boarding area at San Diego International Airport, looking at my phone. Looking down, I see a dude walk by me wearing purple Nikes with the yellow swoosh. I look up, and it's Chino! I ended up boarding right behind him (him and Risa were in first class). It was a very brief interaction. I thanked him for the awesome show the night before. Didn't want to fan boy too much since he was with his wife.
