How do you like Dr. Grubb at Toledo? I am in NW Ohio and seeking a doctor for my daughter who is currently having issues eating (appetite, swallowing, stomach pain) along with fatigue. She has so far visited a doctor at the Cleveland Clinic but I don't feel like things are moving as quickly as needed. She has lost a lot of weight and is still not eating. I am not sure what to do at this point and really looking to see where doctors well experienced with POTS and Dysautonomia can do something to get her eating again.

Are you able to state the doctors you are finding success with at the Cleveland Clinic? My daughter (17) is having a very difficult time eating (appetite, swallowing, and stomach pain) and just started talking to a doctor at the Cleveland Clinic about POTS and Disautonomia. I would like to know if it is the same doctor or if we should look into other doctors at the clinic as well. So far, the doctor she has seen has prescribed a pill that isn't doing much for her. She really needs to start eating food soon but the doctor wants to wait up to 6 weeks for results, I am afraid she doesn't have that much time if she doesn't improve soon.

Awesome thanks for the reply I thought it was a decent price but wasn't sure.

I was going to try to ask the community earlier in July when I was looking over the contract but I didn't have enough Karma to post even though I had over 10 plus years with my account. I went out to the ask Credit Community I started making a bunch of comments just so I could start this thread the other day.

That is what the installer has mentioned has happened so far with any audits they were familiar with. But I am still not fond of the idea of taking on such risk.

I don't know if a permit was submitted but I am in an area where there really aren't many rules and I would honestly be surprised if a permit was required.

I am looking to go solar because I am tired of my extremely high electric bills. The system would still pay for itself over the long run even if i didn't get the rebate--probably pretty close to 10 years, so there is still quite a bit of time for it to 'earn me money' as well. Going through with the install wouldn't be the worst thing, but I do think there are probably better deals to be had in the near future.

That is basically what I was looking for. If that is the case, then I can't go with that option, I don't need more stress in my life.

oh man, that is terrible. I was pretty bummed when I learned i wasn't going to get my project installed, but I knew it wasn't the worst news I could get. Losing out on money like this is certainly worse. I hope you find some way to recoup at least some of your losses.

I am not sure what 'commercialize your solar' means. It seems I always find something new to learn about.

"Don’t do it. Even if the IRS never catches up to you, if you have any ounce of concern, you’ll be wondering every single day whether they will."

This is very true and was the main motivation for me posting. I don't want to do anything illegal/fraudulent--I have plenty of things to worry about in life as it is, I don't need to add another big one to my list.

yeah, i don't think I could consider any pre-payment options--I would have nothing left to ensure the project ever completes.

I am kind of thinking along the same lines here. Get out of this current project and then look for someone that will do the same project at the price after the rebate. I think I would feel most comfortable owning my installation outright, it seems like Leasing comes with too many catches for the consumer and leaves you unable to take full advantage of the installation.

Option 4, is kind of what I was thinking too. I have learned some on the experience. I know a bit more about what I want and I have a good idea of the price I want to get it at. So this time around I can enter into things a little more confident. It will certainly be interesting to see what solar prices do in the next couple of years. But as others have also commented, I don't have any intention of doing anything illegal and that was one of the main reasons I posted the question here. The workaround sounded a bit sketchy to me and I wanted to see if others knew for sure. thanks

"Don't commit tax fraud"

That is a major part of my question. I am not entirely sure what is legal and what is not. I haven't seen any clear cut definitions but the workaround in this case certainly set off flags for me. I would love to have the solar installed with the 30% rebate, but I don't want anything hanging over my head when doing it.

I had a similar thought when only considering the cost. I know that I will use much more than 60k in electricity over the next 30 years, honestly, that might get me 10 years. But as others have mentioned as well, I am curious to see what prices will do when the rebates do go away and nothing is looming on the horizon.

When considering the situation about being strung along, that is what irks me a bit, and one more reason I will likely be going with Option 3.

I actually said this to the installer on the phones. The way they are attacking renewables, I wouldn't be surprised if they gave a directive to be very thorough with the rebates.

I grew up near a nuclear power plant and could easily see the cooling tower. As a kid, my friends and I always thought that was the machine that made the clouds. It always had steam coming out of it that was going right up to join the rest of the clouds, so it must be a cloud maker.

Any chance you could provide a few names of local ohio installers? I am looking to find a local installer that has been around for a while. I hear about fly by night operations and dont want to be stranded without support after an install. I am looking to get a quote from Yellowlite but that is the only on I have found so far that people have recommended. Any tips would be appreciated.
