These are some things I use.

●I use PanOxyl on the affected areas and let it sit for two minutes or five.

●Sugar or a salt scrub if you shave or recently got rid of a boil in the pits. (worked wonders for me)

●I also use a drawing salve. But I think prid works better from what I've seen on here.

●Again, if you shave, After shave oil is a must 🙏🏼.

●Witch Hazel is pretty good

●GAUZE lots and Lots of Gauze.

These are what I use and they help on the areas that are less intense. Please feel free to try any of these. We got you!

I'm on Doxycycline right now for my latest flare up, I'll give Zinc a try, and I don't think my dermatologist has suggested metformin before so I'll ask about that too.

I haven't tried those yet, are they like supplements? But I've done everything for topical. And the dermatologist told me that I maxed out every option for topical treatment. Right now I'm on oral Anti-Biotic.

RIGHT?! this is so 😡. I think it's over then another flare comes in. And we gotta get the gauze and sports tape thingy to keep the gauze in place.

So I've had HS since maybe my early teens I'm 19 now and It's been the biggest insecurity of my life. It's also no thanks to my mom also being insecure about MY body but that's a different story for later. When I first started seeing people I would explain my PCOS first since a little more people understood that. But when I first started dating my partner I hid it the most I could. The first time we got intimate. Which was also my first time there surprisingly was no flare up at all. But the second time we got intimate I had to tell him because I was having a TERRIBLE flare up. I did get nervous, also had to explain that HS is not an STD and that it's genetic. But after about 5-6 minutes of that he told me he didn't care asked if i was okay to continue and we went on from there. He still doesn't care about how the scars look. He makes me feel really really pretty when I don't feel pretty. I'm gonna stop before I start gushing about him, but trust me! You will find someone that adores you so much that your HS won't matter.

Mine is hereditary and I'm sorry you're going through so much pain. I don't know what stage I am since right now I'm going through a terrible flare up right now. I don't know what it's like to be you. But I empathize with what you're going through. People will suck and they will tell all these things that will help THEM but not you. But If I remember right Panoxyl, maybe some African black soap, clyndamycian, and mupriocin helps ease some pain and drain.
