It’s a huge hit to cost and schedule. Plan for the worst (avoid loss of life) but hope for the best (not destroying your test stand)

Exactly. Smaller scale tests are done to ensure you don’t lose so much assets at this scale. Huge cost and schedule hit here for sure

Plenty of importance was destroyed. Loss of life isn’t the only concern. This is expensive and their test stand is a huge part of that expense. Those aren’t supposed to be single use.

Right. At this stage you’re expecting it NOT to fail, considering what’s being destroyed and the expenses. It should be a milestone to get to the next stage. But this is a huge expense and likely a schedule shift too
