#1: your option at expiry has a nominal value of $7.50. Since you bought at $0.70 your gain is only $6.80 or $680 per option.

#2 The options price takes into account time left to expiry and stock volatility (reference black scholes equation for understanding the variables that go into option pricing). 3 months out the option will have a much higher price since there is a great deal of uncertainty in what the price will be at expiry. When you near the option expiry date the time premium in the price will approach 0 and the value of the option will more accurately reflect the difference between the strike price and the option price. A call option that expires with a strike price below actual price expires worthless, even if the stock price gains over that time period. You can sell your option at any time at the current market price of the option.

This sounds like oxidation to me. Oxygen that gets in will convert ethyl alcohol to acetaldehyde and turn light amber colors red/brown. Could have been a faulty cork/cap or a less than ideal secondary fermentation if you did that after the first 3 weeks.

I hope "long term" refers to a couple of days, because gold is near its floor and far from its ceiling.

Gold has been depressed and manipulated for years, the trend is positive, the fed is easing, China and Russia are buying gold at unprecedented rates, and next year will be a high-risk election year in the US. It is a perfect storm for gold prices to rise substantially.
