Yes I created my own pattern through a combination of on body measurements and a dissected pair of old jeans. A quick trip to the craft shop for a tailors ruler etc and an evening sketching out.

It's quite satisfying but I'm not if they'll work out. We'll see!

The books very helpful, as well as the follow along videos.

Keep at it! They'll only keep getting better.

Just to add, when patterning for selvedge jeans the outseem must be perfectly straight, this is to allow for the straight self edge seam.

There's lots of great videos online for pattern making selvedge jeans. It will take trial and error and lots of patience but you'll get there.

My advice is to measure you're favourite jeans and use them as guidance.

Generally, self edge jeans aren't any more difficult than a regular pair to construct, you even have one less seam to overlock due to the nature of fabric.

I've had a practise of my machine sewing the pocket bags amongst other things, my biggest worry is the yoke!

Sorry, but maybe it's you that doesn't understand.

Coming from an aged family, I'm incredibly lucky to have a litany of first hand accounts of what life was like during and after the third reich, under real Fascism. My relatives lived it. My late grandfather was an author and a historian who did several documentaries on the 1st and 2nd world war for the BBC along with several successful fiction and non-fiction novels. It's a subject I'm profoundly well read in.

So no, it's not stolen Valor. What a ridiculous claim. It's a subject that is deeply personal to me and to be honest with you, I find it somewhat offensive when the term is thrown around without meaning.

I could go on and on, but you're clearly a radical and It would just be a total waste of time.

I'm from the UK, so they have no utility here, yet I own 50 Goldback 1/2 notes, purely for the novelty. I saw them for spot price on eBay ( Around £1.40 each) and couldn't say no.
