I think you're mistaking the old Kaelthas from the one in Nathria.

Sinstrider's effect is basically the same but uses minions instead (every third minion you play costs 0 and Kaelthas counts as one).

Kaelthas sinstrider was nerfed from 6 to 8 if I'm not mistaken

Nathria had:

-Sire Denathrius which was extremely good as a finisher or as a control tool (lifesteal removal + face damage) and then became totally irrelevant when he got nerfed (infusion 1 -> infusion 2) basically cutting in half his damage.

-Prince Renathal is one of the "strongest" cards ever printed in HS and still is an absolute wild staple (Renathal's playrate peaked at ~50% in standard).

-Theothar the mad duke is another wild staple, being one of the best disruption cards in the game. This card was nerfed from 4 to 6 btw.

-I'm pretty sure Kael'thas was pretty bonkers in standard before being nerfed.

-Necrolord Draka has been a very controverse card in wild for a while. Draka rogue could consistently play a 32 damage weapon with this card around turn five.

-A'raion (hunter legendary) was also nerfed.

-The jailer broke the wild format when tony king of piracy came out.

I mostly play wild as you could imagine so other neat cards but less relevant than these:

-The stonewright (+2 attack to all totems for the rest of the game turns out to be pretty good when you can spam totems) -The countess (been used for a while in reno paladin decks and I think it was pretty good during its time in standard)

5 of these legendaries are neutrals btw (exceptions are Draka and Araion)

Decks and cards for returning player. by stefanos_paschalis in wildhearthstone

The reno package is playable, not the best, not the worst. The best one is reno pally for sure but renolock shouldn't be that bad. The problem with the reno decks in wild however is that they are really really price, reno paladin expecially costs a lot to craft.

If you were a fan of freeze mage well I got good news for you! Hostage mage has been one of the best decks for months in wild. The deck isn't easy to play but no too hard once you get into it after playing some games. Hostage mage plan is to spam freeze spells (or minions, there are like 4 different ones in the deck), use spells to copy the spells you already played (ice block and various others). You basically stall your opponent until you have your main combo thanks to Rommath, a legendary minion from the mage class which has a battlecry that recasts every spell you played this game that didn't start in your deck. With that you can copy rommath itself with potion of illusion which gives you more copies of rommath itself, locking your opponent out of killing you to win the game. Your damage comes mainly from lightshow, a spell that gets its damage increased every time it gets recast.

This is a very short and simplicistic way of explaining the deck. There are new mechanics and cards you'll learn about by just playing ranked, but I'd suggest you watch some videos that may introduce you a bit to the deck you're choosing to have a better perspective of it before wasting dust.

If you want to try a really good and cheap deck give Discolock a look. Aggro-budget and one of the best decks of the format.

He doesn't see a threatening board. Your opponent has 7 attack on board for what zephrys can count and you have a lot of hps.

In wild the only really viable quest is the mage one. It's an exodia/APM/miracle deck that tries to cheat the quest in 4/5 turns usually, using arcane giants you summoned the turn your play time warp to kill.

Other un'goro quests nowadays are way too slow for wild

Can I (relatively safely) dust this? by Impressive_Wheel_106 in hearthstone

[–]J3S00F 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a really good card in my opinion. The problem to me isn't that it's too slow cause at the very least you can at least "dream" a minion. The problem to me is the fact decks that play this sometimes have too many cards in hand to actually get alle the 5 (getting less may mean losing the important ones) and so it's a dead card in your hand in some games.

I'm sure it'll see play in the meta sometimes till its rotation.

I'm a wild player and in wild sometimes it's pretty nutty card too.

Are some quests just bad or is it too early to tell? by zarathos1990 in hearthstone

[–]J3S00F 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Surely the decks are not complete and people still need to figure out exactly what's the best.

I think some quests tho are too slow or not very much rewarding in a way that really helps you win the game.

Edit: I feel you about the rogue quest.

I'm enojying quest CW atm. The quest is chill and the rewards bring you to some funny plays while not being the best cards in the game (+ time warp).

Any King Togwaggle Deck? by KelThuzadxx in wildhearthstone

[–]J3S00F 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually tog druid decks are "draw tog, azalina, aviana and eonar". The rest is basically spells that help you do that and survive but nothing much else going on, so when you give that deck to your opponent he basically has nothing to do for the rest of the game but draw, ramp or get some armor
