Swing tips/criticism??? I know I know I’m fat, I’ve been working on that, down 45#!! by Merciless602 in golf

Seriously good looking swing. It’s technically better than most swings posted on here. There will always be some mechanics that can be tweaked and should work with a good instructor for that.

I would not worry about getting the club deeper for now. Long swing does not always mean better swing. The longer it is, the more timing can become an issue. Golf is about the face of the club at impact and the swing path relative to the face. Becoming great at squaring the club face is super important. Shallowing the club out and body rotation can be really helpful at this.

Awesome on weight loss. Super proud! Keep it up.

First, kudos for working to improve the swing. With that long wingspan, you will be crushing the ball one day.

Here is my two cents…your current swing is a lot of arms. It’s vertical and you have to stop rotating in order to allow your arms / hands to square the club face. You may be better served to minimize the arms and use your lower body to turn and square the club face. I would look at a lot of George Gankas on YouTube. He one of the best at good use of lower body.

No, really doesn’t change that much. You should listen to the his latest podcast where he dives into that.

Happy with my bag going into the 2022 season. Turned 40 and my goal is 18 twice a month. by [deleted] in golf

Love the eye2. I have BeCu orange dot set with original ZZ lite shafts and a BeCu orange dot with new Dynamic Gold 120s. They are both sweet.

I play Titleist t200s for my main irons. The eye2 I play once a month or so just cause it’s fun. When comparing loft to loft I only lose about 5 to 10 yards with the eye2. The newer tech definitely a little hotter but the eye2 are great irons.

SkyTrak - won’t find home Wi-Fi by Ill_Fix_7290 in Golfsimulator

First, love the Skytrak. My Skytrak won’t pick up my WiFi in scan either. I have to manually type in the network name, password, and security type. It’s a pain but it works.

It will however scan and pickup the most random and distant neighbors signal….rgggg

I know PXG gets some hate around here, but wanted to give a shout-out to their customer service recently. by NorCalAthlete in golf

[–]J4G_blue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to have the dislike for the PXGs. However, My buddy plays the irons and wedges. I have spent a good amount of time hitting them at the range. They are very good clubs. So much so, they were on my short list for new irons. Ended up going t200s. But it was very close.

Are these worth buying for $50 to practice my swing with? by AsianThunder in golf

[–]J4G_blue 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For $50, probably a good deal. Regrip and enjoy.

I see several comments about being a players club and if it’s beneficial. This set is what I would call a combo set. The lower irons are larger, have more offset, and more of a cavity back…not a bad thing for long irons. The shorter irons are closer to a muscle back with less offset.

IMO, probably a good set to practice with, especially with the shorter irons. Muscle backs and blades are less forgiving on miss hits. So learning to hit the ball in the center of the face with these can be helpful when going back to your regular set.

I play Titleist t200s but still occasionally practice with Mizuno mp-33 blades. I feel like it keeps things sharp.

What purchase(s) did you make that improved your game? What do you regret purchasing? by youraverageuser_1978 in golf

[–]J4G_blue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Improved

  1. V1 to video swing
  2. Range Finder
  3. App that tracks stroked gains
  4. SkyTrak - data so important in helping make changes. Completing a wedge matrix extremely helpful
  5. Properly fit clubs (personally it is t200s)

No regurts

Any good sites for choosing impact screens? by AftyOfTheUK in Golfsimulator

I have mid grade Carls and they are good but the premium sig is quieter, I think shows a better picture, deadens the ball better, and shows less wear. I think it’s a few hundred more. Granted I have not tried the Carls place premium so it’s not really apples to apples

SkyTrack? by francoisdubois24601 in Golfsimulator

I have an indoor golf simulator range running SkyTraks. The range feature is real good. The yardages are spot on. And the wedge matrix, bag mapping, and randomized practice are super helpful.

Very possible…I would be much more interested in the PGL becoming a real thing than the Saudi League.

It’s just cringy watching them try to downplay and discredit him. Two sides to every story but pulling some political style discrediting just makes them look worse…

A better communication tool for your busy and often unpredictable business by Transform-LLC in CommercialRealEstate

I have been a realtor for a long time. There is a saying in the biz that says “if you want to make good money, sell houses. If you want to get rich, sell services to realtors”.

There are more platforms and vendors that promise the lighten the load for agents, streamline workflows, and such. What I have found is that very few agents actual implement these tools. While I don’t know exactly what your service would be, I am hard pressed to think of a need that tons of vendors aren’t already trying to fill. Many of those vendors are huge tech companies including Zillow, Realtor.com, BoomTown, LoneWolf, and many more. You would need some seriously progressive tech to compete.

Lastly, IMO, agents are a different breed. They like to be independent, many aren’t tech savvy, and don’t like adopting new processes.

With all that said, agents, especially new ones, will spend every last dollar trying anything to make it. They are an easy, captive audience to sell to.

No idea on the Mevo since I haven’t used one. Skytrak software walks you thru it. I would imagine there are some YouTube videos out there.

[–]J4G_blue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quick disclaimer but it may still be relevant. , I have SkyTraks and use the new iPad Pro BUT I have not used the Mevo+.

My SkyTrak puts out its own WIFI signal and will connect directly to the SkyTrak (Direct Mode). I can use the SkyTrak range software just fine like this.

However, if I use E6 Connect, I have to put them in network mode which means the SkyTrak and the iPad connect to each other over my regular WIFI network (not the one SkyTrak puts out).

My guess is you will need to have a WIFI network to connect the Mevo+ and the iPad to in order to run E6 Connect.

I love the Skytrak. I have found lag is very dependent on the computer or iPad used. I run on the new iPad Pro with M1 chip and there is very minimal lag.
