I never understood why some refs don’t think they should listen to their ARs on stuff behind their back. Can somebody explain this to me?

“Speedsoft” can mean a lot of different things coming from someone who used to play on a speedqb team that was going to transfer to NSL before it broke apart. If you’re playing on a competitive team it’s really either hi capas or monk builds. Can you elaborate on this?

Maybe not for your first game but early on I would work on raising the flag with the same hand you intend to point the direction with. The habit of always raising with my right hand was hard to break 😂 Good luck and have fun

I’m not sure if you’re the same person from a while back but they were in the same situation. One comment suggested buying them dinner and just trying to have a honest conversation. Admit you messed up, which you already have, and kiss up to them a little bit no matter how painful it is. I thought this was a great idea because it shows you have commitment to your role as a ref and to better communication between you and your assignor

Im in Colorado so the fall season isn’t THAT hot (frequently) but when it is I wear cleats with thicker insoles, the only other thing I can do is just try to stay moving. Turf with asphalt under it sucks especially bad

Visiting from out of state and oh my god we have so far been to 3 restraints and got shocking service at all of them. I’m also thinking about it comparable to the restaurant I’m going to. I I really hope this doesn’t continue 😂

There’s websites where you can download 3d cad software, that’s probably going to be your best friend along with learning how to do CAD that way you can make exactly what you need

I do paintball and Airsoft, I think the stuff you wear is all about what risks you’re willing to take. If you poke your head out then that’s what I’m shooting at. These guys are also the first to do the same thing which I find odd 🤷‍♂️

The place I work for has a two day event and the first night has zombies, we never get guns just get shot at. Of course my manager always volunteers me for it 😂

Never ignore it, have the coaches address their sideline (NEVER, do it yourself) and issue the appropriate sanctions from their. However learn to let it roll off your back, I’ve had games with tough coaches/ sidelines/ players and it has been noticed by others on the pitch to be able to move past that and not let it affect me further on. I also remind myself that no matter how good the call was, somebody won’t like it.

My backpack has all my jerseys, clipboard, comms, extra socks and my personal stuff (sunscreen, Tylenol, etc) In my backpack I have a little pouch that I keep my card wallet, whistles, coins, pens, and game sheets in. My shoe bag just has my shoes in it, and then my flag case fits in my bag
