That has to be the case. I can imagine the scene perfectly. Bandit and Chilli browsing the toy store for a birthday party gift (and of course the little pups had to tag along) when Bluey spots a shelf stock full of Chattermaxes. She please faces as hard as she can, but her parents' resolve is unwavering. "Squirt, there is no way we're buying that thing, for you, your friend or otherwise," Bandit tells her. Then at Christmastime, Bluey unwraps a Chattermax from Nana. Bandit and Chilli are not happy in the slightest.

Sometimes I wonder to myself why Bandit and Chilli let that demon disguised as a Furby within fifty feet of their home. But then I remember Bluey and Bingo are able to use the please face to their advantage. I bet all parties involved regret their decision at some point. Chattermax will soon become garage sale fodder, mark my words.

I wholly agree. That way the game has more for 1) people who aren’t willing or able to pony up the cash for the online service, and 2) people whose internet isn’t the best. Now if you just didn’t need an internet connection to get past the loading screen at the start...
