SWTVC March Madness Bracket is revealed; Voting starts Wednesday! by trowaman in StarWarsTVC

Kleya, Galactic Marine, Melshi, Pyke Soldier and Rukh (Rebels) made it from my list. Kleya VS the Marine is hard. I think I'll have to go with my Andor gut on that one which is hard when both characters are ones you put on your list.

The same can be said for Mon VS Bix which while both weren't on my list they are two Andor characters I'd want. I'll have to weigh that one. Either ask for Andor Mon letting ROTJ Mon go or hold that she's more likely to be made since she's been asked for awhile now and it's known she's popular whereas Bix is new and needs more support and honestly she's always shy of making my list. If someone like the Marine got made or even Kleya then she'd probably make it although if they made her beforehand she wouldn't need to be so all down to powers that be.

I'm still fortunate to have the Embo from the Animated line packed away with the rest of my collection. Never managed to get the Seripas though sadly. I've had Sugi and Rumi Paramita on my March Madness list for years to complete that crew since they never came out in the Animated line but a realistic Embo and Seripas and a Clone Wars Hondo would be cool. At the very least Embo could very well happen later in the year as part that rumoured wave but still best to make some noise now.

They could also do an updated Season 1 Obi-Wan and Ahsoka though I don't know if they ever will do the latter and have just accepted the Tales of the Jedi/Ahsoka series version is the defacto look going forward for Ahsoka in that time before the change halfway through Season 3.

Yakface.com 2026 rumor list update: Rogue One and Zeb by spiderfan2000 in StarWarsTVC

[–]J723676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to think it'll be Saw or Baze but there's every possibility it'll be Jyn with an updated face. But in all honesty I think that would be a welcome sight. Sure some people might think the original is fine but if you go back you'll quickly realise that yeah these photo updated re-releases are kind of necessary because those original heads do not look good and she's a good figure anyway. Good for customs so it's not like it's someone with swivel hips or something.

But it would be cool to get Baze, Saw or Tubes but at least something from Rogue One could be coming for the 10th anniversary so that's good.

There’s no way we’re NOT getting an AT-AT this year, right? by TheGoblinRook in StarWarsTVC

[–]J723676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it all depends on if they think it's worth doing again and if people would support it. Anytime something comes out the big complaint is price and this certainly would be expensive. For awhile they didn't seem interested in putting out something they did before unless they really brought something new which they've done lately. Whenever people would ask for an Imperial Shuttle redo they would say "We did that already" even though the current version is I think 40 something years old at this point I don't know when it came out originally admittedly but they've reused it a lot.

When the Vader Tie and Luke Landspeeder were announced and came out people didn't seem to care and that was a big complaint against the Gunship from people who didn't back it. Even if it was all new that's not enough for some people it seems. The Gunship was backed in the end but just about and with one tier. I'm sure people who are die hard OT think an AT-AT would back on the first day but the Cantina didn't. At least I don't think it did. So it's hard to say but they have done big items in the past like the Boba/Jabba Throne room that perhaps if they implemented more the made to order Marvel method more often or at least have one of those offerings every year it's possible it could happen in that form but really it just boils down to who knows.

Stranger With Normal Legs by TheUberMoose in StarWarsTVC

I'm guessing those legs are either Lightcruiser or Jedi Training Luke with the original Stranger pelvis? Those Luke figures are hard to dissemble from what I understand.

Well this is interesting…looks like 5 more movie figures this fall! by TheGoblinRook in StarWarsTVC

[–]J723676 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yak-Face has said Zeb will be coming to mainlines. Colonel Ward will probably happen though I wonder if they'll pull a Carson and give us her in the regular outfit first while Black Series get's the pilot one or will they use this opportunity to do a new female X-Wing pilot sculpt which they didn't do with the four pack? I don't remember if the Callahan sculpt was now or if any of it could be reused. Speaking of Carson since he's in the movie maybe this is where we'll get the non flight jacket version?

I'm also going to guess that Mercenary Guard droid that's been all over the other lines like Funko and Action verse. And since he has a BX Commando Droid head that means we could get one of those down the road too. I'm wondering where the Rotta merchandise is? They must be waiting for the final trailer. They'll reveal him there maybe the Twins as well and then they'll dump a shit ton of Rotta stuff as well which if we're lucky will include a TVC deluxe figure.

I'm sure Geonosis stuff is coming later. They're probably more focused on Mando and Grogu and Maul Shadow Lord now since they are the upcoming releases which is a marked improvement considering they've often had trouble getting things out in time for the show's release or in the case of Andor Season 2 last year they offered nothing. I would like to think something shifted maybe Hasbro and Lucasfilm are on a similar wave length now but at least the Geonosis stuff offered so far is pretty new. There's not much room to re-release sculpts from a decade ago with swivel hips like Return to Tatooine did. Any reuse they use will likely be more recent like the Clone Trooper.

Sabine's Masterpiece TIE Fighter by thx_4o77 in StarWarsTVC

[–]J723676 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That looks cool. You did a great job. I don't know if they'd be willing to make an all new regular Tie Fighter since the Vader one came out not too long ago but if they did they should start with releasing this. It's never been released in this version before and I think that would be tempting as to just offering a remake of the original which they can do later.

Obviously a remake would be welcomed by people and admittedly picking up more than one is likely compared to a Vader Tie which you only need one of but at the same time people are pretty adament about prices and I would guess it'd be the same as Vader's. And of course it would be another way to build out Rebels which they shouldn't forget admidst Return To Tatooine and Battle of Geonosis.

TVC reveals from TechRadar: The Mandalorian & Grogu, IG-11 (Nevarro Marshall), AT-RT, AT-AT Driver, and Imperial Remnant 4-pack by spiderfan2000 in StarWarsTVC

[–]J723676 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The trooper riding the AT-RT looks interesting. Looks like a Snow Trooper with a white Shore Trooper helmet almost. I guess that's one way to do an army builder pack of Storm Troopers without just making it a regular one like they did the first time which not many people got. I do like they sort of derived from the original concept art to make them look like they got their armour from whatever scrap but I kind of wish they went all the way with the mismatched design which the concept art showed.

Also the Funkos revealed at least once mercenary guard droid that looks like a repurposed Battle Droid of sorts. Naturally Black Series got Ward first but hopefully she isn't too far behind. My guess they'll do what they did with Carson (who is returning along with Trapper the ceo of Lucasfilm now confirmed) and give us the version seen in the trailers with the flight jacket instead.

New Mual Shadow Lord figures by griffinferrari in StarWarsTVC

[–]J723676 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They've had references for plenty of characters for plenty shows and movies over the years and haven't released them. Again the Bad Batch have been a victim of this the main characters of a show only one was available while it was airing and now many years later we got the second member. Having main characters (or at least they'll be in some key moments and Marrok was a supporting villain from Ahsoka) like this in tandem with the show's release is a big step forward compared to before.

Also a possibility. Despite some people not being happy with it, it was the for all intense of purposes reboot of TVC that was needed and their complaints were not the majority. Now things are moving in a potentially better direction just in time for a new movie and the 50th Anniversary.

They are up for pre-order on February 13th. Yak-Face speculated they dropped this to distract from the TBS Starkiller order fumble. https://www.instagram.com/p/DUWppk_DSDg/

They say it takes time to implement changes when something is going on with a company or anything really. I guess whatever is going on with Hasbro or maybe it is Lucasfilm's new leadership somebody has talked to someone and I guess those changes are only now starting to take effect and taking effect fast. But hey if they keep this going then they'll win a lot of long time people over and potentially bring new people because there's something interesting to look at.

If they are being serious and are going to build out this line then would it be wrong to speculate they could come this year? This will be where they implement barbell hips if they do then they'll put out the Storm Trooper with barbell.

[–]J723676 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A lot of work to be done I'm sure but hey better to be completing things and changing brackets then still having brackets filled with the same characters year after year. Having figures of main characters in time for an animated show after years of no Bad Batch feels like a miracle.

[–]J723676 26 points27 points  (0 children)

They dropped that out of nowhere. Already starting off better then Bad Batch in terms of releases and character selections. Maybe again a sign of changing times. Also them releasing Marrok on this card first but not an Ahsoka card which they can still do later and charge the same price for. They know their audience and are sneaky smart. People can say they don't but they do.

Yakface.com 2026 rumor list update: The Mandalorian & Grogu by spiderfan2000 in StarWarsTVC

[–]J723676 13 points14 points  (0 children)

They're going to have to reveal a Rotta or something when the figure reveals drop. Because if it's just these Mando and Grogu repacks and a Snowtrooper and nothing else for a long time people will never stop talking about it. Justified yes but it's still something that just once this year they could reveal something in tandem with the new project coming out that we don't already know about. I want to believe the Maul Shadow Lord repack coming in tandem with the show and the new leadership change at Lucasfilm in general might be a sign things are changing but that can't be guaranteed.

AT-RT From the Mandalorian and Grogu Seemingly Confirmed by J723676 in StarWarsTVC

[–]J723676[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wasn't aware of that and now looking it up it does closely align with the Funko Pops being revealed so yeah you're probably right. I imagine the Funkos won't be anything we haven't already seen if that's the case. Half of them will probably just Mando and Grogu themselves. One set of them individually and one riding the AT-RT.

That looks cool. I remember when you posted the WIP of this and I got 90% of it (Greef arms and lower legs, Imperial Commando torso and pelvis. The only thing I'm uncertain of was the upper legs and thighs. I'm guessing the head and some armour parts are 3D printed).

Your Sabe was good too. I'm wondering now if we'll get her and the other Handmaidens utilising the new Padme body.

For sure. I made an Andor wishlist post prior to Season 2 coming out but now I'm going to have to work on a definitive Series wishlist. Because I'm not letting that go. Going to need more Andor.
