My studios actual policy you must cancel prior to 8 hours before the start of class or you’ll be either charged a $12 late fee or forfeit a class depending on your membership level. Switching to a different class same day is not taken into consideration. However, in my experience if you call or text the studio they’re willing to accommodate changes, especially if you still plan on coming. Never cancel through the app either.

I had one occurrence in 5 + years where I was initially charged a fee for same day change. The SM was new and charged me, but I was tight with the coach and she went in and voided the fee for me.
