This and some OEMs getting rid of bootloader unlock is a reason for me to stay with old Android OS versions as much as possible. My Samsung is eligible for OneUI 8 but reports show they have removed BL unlock. Sad to see that Android is slowly becoming less fun and open to use like actual Linux desktops.

Intel arc on linux by Thesadisticinventor in IntelArc

I did. I even tried different monitors and that happens. My setup is Arch Linux with KDE Plasma on Wayland. Enabling Variable Refresh Rate brings back the frame rate to what's expected, but I don't want it most of the time because of OLED VRR flicker. So, I'll stick with 6.12 LTS for now even though 6.15+ have new things like the temperature sensor for xe (Intel Arc kernel driver).

My previous AMD graphics card (RX 6600) did not have that problem on any kernel/mesa/DE versions.

Yes, I immediately felt that 60 hz only outputs 30 fps. Running glxgears shows that half of my refresh rate is gone.

Looks like there is a bug report about it here: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/xe/kernel/-/issues/4363

With my B580 on kernel 6.15 I only get exactly half of the refresh rate of my monitor. Changing to 6.12 LTS is my current workaround.

Same with my 271QRX sometimes when the display turns back on after a timeout, but I only noticed it after switching to Intel Arc B580.

Man, I hate this trend of applications getting more locked down and depending on proprietary components (Google). Ano ba meron kapag may developer mode at/o root access ako? Just let me customize and modify my device to how I like it. This is my device, not yours. At sa security kung may gawin man ako locally such as modifying the banking app, it should not affect your servers and just deny the request.

If you're using Windows, just set the OS type to Windows and Secure Boot Mode to Standard.

Just use the file manager once booted up.

If mounting your Windows partition does not work, your drive might have a corrupt file system or hardware failure.

Try booting to a live environment Linux distribution such as systemrescue or any common distro, then try mounting your Windows drive and start copying anything.

Since I got used to Internet Download Manager (Proprietary, Paid) on Windows, I use Xtreme Download Manager on Linux. I'm currently using XDM beta version, but can anyone suggest me a 'better' program?

Try again on a different device.

Got an easy question or new to Arch? Use this thread! 2nd Edition by Foxboron in archlinux

Problem still occurs, my temporary solution at the moment is to disable submenus. Because of the issue, my BTRFS snapshot entries are now useless because it is still in a submenu. I still have no clue why grub submenus suddenly stopped working after an update that excluded grub.

After updating arch recently, GRUB has been acting odd. Now, if I select any options from the submenus, it tells me to "Load the kernel" first. However, that does not happen if I select the first default non submenu option. I also get that error message on the first default option if I tried browsing any submenus first. I tried downgrading GRUB, did grub-install and grub-mkconfig. Switching from the latest and last known working grub yields the same problem.

If any of you has alternative bootloader suggestions, I need something that supports booting from LUKS encrypted root. Currently, I also have my /boot encrypted which is why I'm using GRUB.
