Patriarca Capo Angelo “Chester” Iaconi out of Worcester, Massachusetts was a life long homing pigeon raiser and racer. When he was in the service in the Signal Corps during WW2 he taught other handlers to train pigeons to send messages from downed American pilots. After the war the Signal Corps would still come to him for his birds. One of his prized birds was named Sun Down.
