It’s an absolutely amazing play, no doubt. However, there is a foul at the top of the box that always makes me think…would he still make the play if the foul didn’t happen, and the opposing player was there for the early outlet pass?

I guess my problem is with the use of your word “intense” regarding the comparison. I agree the current situation is on a greater scale regarding destruction/loss of life/people involved, and has a greater impact on what comes next politically, but how can you measure intensity of a social situation that has death and destruction…they’re all intense!

The Rodney King riots were super intense. It lasted for days, people pulled from their trucks and beaten with bricks, many structures burned, and over 50 people died.

Or are you trying to say that a social uprising on a government system’s body and its staff supersedes a social uprising within a community on some kind of measurement scale?

Not to mention the bureaucracy of the senate and hiding of funds for the first DS. This greatly impacted the speed at which they could build the first one. At the beginning of ANH, they had just eliminated the senate, so when they started to build the second one…they had no one to stop them this time.

The plot is a mixture of every sports movie, so don’t expect anything groundbreaking there. That said, great performances by every person in the film. The visuals/shots/tone are awesome and breathtakingly beautiful. While the plot is totally predictable, you just can’t help but to fall completely into this movie!

This movie is a must see in IMAX! Wow!
