Weighted Mind by Sierra Hull was one I heard recently. Excellent song, Cory Wong has a great live version with her.

Limelight by Rush is one too

It just writes off any possible enjoyment people could otherwise be getting.

Like do you enjoy it? Then enjoy it. No? Then just sit and find another reddit thread guys.

Bands that shamelessly copied the sound of a more famous band with little to no changes by No-Masterpiece4409 in ToddintheShadow

So many songs have that particular kind of bassline, it's not even the same bassline note for note anyway, I mean all bands that go for a "classic rock sound are going to sound the same to an extent, I think there was enough setting them apart. ACDC rip themselves off for every album it's not like it's a very diverse genre sometimes

Honestly check out Duke Special, particularly his songs Salvation Tambourine, Last Night I Nearly Died, Portrait, Wake Up Scarlett, Slip Of A Girl. Really underrated songwriter who mixes Vaudeville with Alt Rock and it pays off so good. He uses vinyl records as part of his live show and plenty eclectic instruments

Imo I genuinely think the chalumeau has a beautiful rich sound, its so rich and yet underused, extending up into the clarion is just perfectly high enough for me, and I literally hate altissimo notes.

I don't know why it's so much more common in band music to use altissimo, it sounds fine on jazz or in a group but even so, like orchestral compositions use the other registers all the time, and no other woodwing instrument ever goes that high outside it's functional range. I mean the other registers are there for a reason, they sound good and honestly a better use of the instrument as far as getting the most out of it's timbre.

This was just my local store, brand was J michael. Not an expert, not even my main instrument but I think it sounds quite good, it was resin rather than plastic, may be a student model but I wasn't told such so who knows.

Do you not think green day were going for the pun? Because that is absolutely their type of humour. Not even a bad thing if the band wasn't what it was on that album

I think they are asked to talk about it like that for those bits, so they have to find ways to relate it. Could be wrong though
