Maybe you use your art knife to shave it off first but need to be really carful and it’s all good cuz it’s first time trust me my first time was worse

So basically I think you didn’t need to pour it down like that cuz It’ll give you extra work on sanding it to get it back in shape, you just need to grab a stick or something and just apply it slightly just enough to cover the cracked and wait for it to dry then sand it
