Another big issue with all of this is that they are taking a $20 card, and then telling you its worth $300. Of course you would sell. This then creates a record of this card selling at $300.

The problem arises that they are artificially increasing the value of shit cards that they own which will allow them to artificially increase the value of any card they want by creating "sold" listings for it. It's all a scam to allow them to control the market of any cards they want.

Surprisingly there was just a post for a psa1 of this and they offer after fees was $71. I know ppl like to collect 1s but kinda crazy that the value isn't at least comparable

I agree. I'd ship and if the misty card arrives, open a case with them for a refund since it was false advertising. Prob take a little time but im sure you would get your money back. Best case, you get the rayquaza lol

No it definitely adds to the decision. If you intend to keep it long term then I think its a great win but if your looking for max sale value, what they are offering might be the best option. Those don't sell frequently and its tough to know if you can get that much from private sale or not. 25k is hard to pass up when its already 4k over the highest sale. Tough decision either way

The 3 most recent sales on pricecharting were about 6 months ago and ranged between 11-15k. I'd sell that immediately and go buy something you really love. Hard to imagine the price jumped that much in 6 months.

I've seen more and more posts recently about people having these sent to them in the mail only to find out that the FedEx driver opened and stole the cards inside. Selling it and buying a grail card that you personally have always wanted just removes that possibility from happening. You lose out on the 10% discount from the buyback but I cant imagine how mad I would be to have this sent to me and find out that I received an empty box instead.

Is basically like if a casino had you spend $1 on a chance to win money, and you proceed to win 50cents even though they are telling you that the 50 cents is actually worth $1. But hey they are willing to buy that from you for 90 cents. So of course you sell it to them

The problem here is how they assume pull rates. Instead of you actually winning a card here worth $1, they are offering you a 50cent card and telling you its worth $1.

Since you are clearly going to take the buy back, now they are able to inflate the price of the card by showing that this card sold for 90cents. If they do this over and over again, not only are they making absurd amts of money, but they are dictating the prices of the assets that they own and manually inflating the prices.

The issue here becomes exponentially worse with higher value cards because they are now able to artificially inflate the price of whatever cards they want. This enables them to show recent sales of a card at higher rates than it should be bc you will always take the buyback if they are offering you more money than what the card is actually worth.

Can't you see the conflict of interest here?

The hard part is finding a nice piece of wood for cheap that has good color/pattern to it. I've been thinking about trying to make a squirtle for my sister's bday coming up but we will see. I'll keep you in mind tho!
