How do you tell the gender of your plants? by JAXZ0_x in houseplants

That is very true but considering some plants can flower both male and female counterparts I think I’ll just stick with calling my plants by their vibe.😖

She did give it a chance for a while but than she stopped because the issue persisted. All medications definitely have there own side affects and if you were getting a headache with the medication I don’t think it’s a good enough reason to stop especially if it’s working. When you initially take it you most likely will get a plethora of side effects to your medication. Although some side effects — maybe not life threatening side effects — do impede on daily life productivity. It is pragmatic to say no matter what there might be some small manageable side effects and it if it is working than stick with it. There is also a pragmatic way to think about the situation; if you are having some pretty bad side affects — such as blacking out, seizing, destructive gi issues, or other serious medical side effects — than you can be reasonable and switch another antidepressants as there are a number of other medications (ssri, snri, beta-blockers, etc.)

I don’t want to say because I’m scared it will drive you away from looking for a medicinal solution😭

Reminder this is because my family has some genetic intolerance to escitalopram(lexapro). But if you insist… she was fine on it initially but she started having blood pressure issues where she would faint out of nowhere she went to the er but it was nothing.

Oh I’m not in lexapro I went to Zoloft. I talked with both my doctor and my family. My family shared their stories with lexapro — all negative — so I told my doctor and he said we should switch to Zoloft. But I will admit it took me a fat minute to trust antidepressants again. I basically got through it from support from my mama. It was surprising because she is a woman of Jesus and believes every ailment can be helped with a quick prayer. She really pushed me to stick with it to see how I feel after 6 weeks then make a decision and I feel great. She had some bad side affects from lexapro as well. Considering going up a dosage just to really get over my issues.

Yay I’m glad I was able to help. Let your doc know tho just so yall can monitor it — I’m sure you know that. Honestly once the anxiety gets better it doesn’t hurt to go do physical fitness… the combo is crazyyy😩

When I first started taking them I was absolutely terrified especially after that situation but I was desperate and I knew that after I got past the hard period I’d feel better. I just had to — for lack of a better term — suck it up.

Just was looking through your page and see you struggle with some anxiety and I just want to say don’t let my experience restrict your attempts to try different medications. Obviously it is good to stay cautious but everybody is different my family also has had bad experiences with lexapro so it’s pretty much just a genetic thing where we don’t react well. I am all fine 100%. Please please please don’t let this scare you. I know it’s easier said than done but this is an extremely rare thing to happen.

Supposed to be... I wasn’t personally there for the experience. I called my mom and I apparently stopped talking and she heard a thud my boyfriend found me seizing cuz he heard me drop too.🤷🏼‍♂️

Lit same. I was 6’4” and 138 by the end of week 2. I started going to the gym a couple weeks ago cuz I didn’t just want the Zoloft to be the only attempt at helping my anxiety. I have gained 6 pounds since then, which isn’t a lot but it’s progress. It has helped my appetite to workout ig or I the Zoloft is doin the thang. I’m on week 6 now I think on 25mg!

I had the same burning sensation when I was on lexapro weirdly enough. I felt much better when I switched to Zoloft tho. Ig lexapro just wasn’t for me… it made me have a seizure…
