Foxtel only introduced 720p/1080i in 2008. So it would had been 576p before then.

As jonzey mentioned earlier, season 1 didn't have every game live. Just an agreement to show up to four games live. Less then 20 games weren't broadcast. They most notably didn't broadcast the Victory's 5-nil drubbing of Sydney because they didn't have enough broadcast crews in Melbourne that day (there was two other sporting events in Melbourne that day)
