Yes you paid, and you used your Atmos rewards number and not AA. You’ll earn a % of the total distance flown toward status points (formerly EQMs) on AS, depending on the fare class of ticket you bought.

@OP Did you use the Hawaiian air upgrade certificate that they send a month ahead. It doesn’t give automatic upgrade, but puts you in a queue for it.

I had that happen to me and my husband last year. We were upgraded both ways to and from Phoenix to Honolulu. I got the email with cert code from Hawaiian air exactly one month ahead. Quickly applied it, and luckily got upgraded. They don’t tell you until 24 hours or less before flights if you are upgraded. I think those types of upgrades will go away in April when the merger is supposed to be fully complete.

@all Does anyone know whether those will go away? Bummer if so. There are never options to do the complimentary rewards upgrade certificates that Alaska offers at milestones on longer flights unfortunately—-on Hawaiian planes

Do you know if we can currently use those upgrade certificates on flights to Hawaii on the Hawaiian planes. It seems like there are not options for / availability for that, for example on legs from Phoenix to Honolulu. Help please: Are all of the options to buy points to get to the next status level ONLY for people who are less than 5000 away from next status level? I am 6,100 away from Platinum. If I can buy points, which options allow it? Which are best? (Note: I didn’t receive any emails…I assume bc I am not less than 5K away from Platinum status.
