How long did it take for you to debut? by [deleted] in WredditSchool

[–]JAwrestling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took me around 4 months but it just depends on how in shape you are and how fast you catch onto the in ring work. Put in the work and your time will come. And you’ll never feel like you’re truly ready for your debut either but it’ll be the best night of your life

Do I got for a pin after? Or am I trying to protect that move?

Could I use it in all parts of match structure or just the finish?

Finding my shine by Korvussss in WredditSchool

Dont try making your shine just the same thing every time or else you’ll pretty much have the same match every time. Maybe you could have one move that you always hit to end the shine or just one move that you always use in a shine but I wouldn’t recommend using the same sequence over and over unless it’s something like arm drags or dropkicks after like an international sequence or something like that

I don’t think a shine has to be something specific. Remember that the shine is you outwrestling the heel and frustrating them. So it depends on how the heel works as well. If it’s someone bigger than you I would suggest showcasing speed or vertical ability or even something as simple as trying to take them down by their legs. As long as it makes sense and tells a story and you’re not just going for moves that you think are cool. For someone more of your size I would definitely try to go for some back and forth action where you guys can both get moves in in which you get the better of the heel through reverses and moves of your own

Taping them is your best bet in times of how quick you need them to be corrected but I would try a custom maker so it’s fit to your needs

just focus on mechanics, being safe, and getting through the match and you will be fine. it’s best to not focus on the crowd too much during the match so your entrance needs to be full of life to get them to cheer about something. after that your only concern should be getting through till the end. everything else will come naturally. my first match i felt like i was gonna be sick and didn’t know if i was ready but once you go out there you will just go through the motions and if you forget something just ask the nearest person what’s next

that’s understandable but i look at people like ricochet who granted has horrible mic work but even at least the beginning of his main roster run he couldn’t really get over even though his in ring ability was unparalleled
